Eid al-Fitr is the holiday celebration commemorating the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. This celebration lasts for one day and is closest to "Christmas" festivities in that there is prayer, family feasts, charity efforts, and good deeds.

Eid al-Adha (on approx. Dec 31st this year) is the holiday celebration commemorating the end of the holy pilgramage to Mecca known as Hajj. This celebration lasts for four days and is closest to "Easter" festivities in that there is thanks given for sacrifices made and that forgiveness and family are number one focuses.
