Default has SAD overtaken the PNW?

What is Seasonal Affective Disorder?
Some people suffer from symptoms of depression during the winter months, with symptoms subsiding during the spring and summer months. This may be a sign of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). SAD is a mood disorder associated with depression episodes and unrealized anger episodes. The most difficult months for SAD sufferers are November though February, and younger persons and women are at higher risk.

Symptoms Include:
• Unprovoked aggressive internet posting.
• Misunderstanding of jokes.
• Having to take it off-line just to continue being aggressive.
• Road rage.
• Inability to cope with others that you would ordinarally have no issue
with.
• Having more beer in the fridge than normal.
• Empty junk food containers in the garbage that you have no recollection
of.
• Feeling unsatisfied after a gallon of Ben & Jerry’s.
• Feeling overwhelmed, when nothing really has changed.
• Generally, ____ed off at the world and leaking that anger on folks
who don’t necessarily deserve it.

Remedies/known medications:
• fluoxetine (Prozac)
• paroxetine (Paxil)
• sertraline (Zoloft)
• amitriptyline (Elavil, Endep)
• clomipramine (Anafranil)
• desipramine (Norpramin, Pertofrane)
• doxepin (Adapin, Sinequan)
• imipramine (Imavate, Janimine, Presamine, Tofranil)
• nortriptyline (Aventyl, Pamelor)
• protriptyline (Vivactil)
• trimipramine (Surmontil)
• amoxapine (Ascendin)
• bupropion (Wellbutrin)
• maprotiline (Ludiomil)
• trazodone (Desyrel)
• isocarboxazid (Marplan)
• phenelzine (Nardil)
• tranylcypromine (Parnate)

My own personal favorites 3 for Depression (anti-depressant):
Skip the beer, go right for the cabinet.
Some folks may say that alcohol is a depressant. I find that it is a mood enhancer. In other words, be in a good mood BEFORE you drink.
Have sex more often. Manually, or with a partner… Just get’er done…
My third and last favorite… you guessed it.. Alcohol and Sex…

I have sad.

It's actually not fun. I'm pretty depressed all the time, and the only time my yaya's go up is yeah when I'm drunk, with a girl, or drunk with a girl, or working on either. Otherwise, I'm yeah sad.

WOW! You read me like a book, is it that obvious? Guess I better up my "meds." Thank you for pointing out the symptoms, I will tell my wife that I need to start on treatment right away!

The cure for the disorder is the same acronym:

Sex
Alcohol

Bright light - and lots of it - is good. First thing in the morning. Sex is better, IMHO, first thing in the morning or otherwise; but you get in less trouble buying the bright light thing than buying the sex. Cheaper, too.
