So I got off work tonight.. and I don't normally get off work at rush hour time. But I have the last two days. I leave today thinking maybe I'll be okay.. afterall, I found a penny heads up and it had been a charm all day. ;) So I leave.. realize I need gas. I get gas. I try to leave.. making a right turn out of the gas station.. but nobody will let me in.. nobody! The traffic is stopped from people trying to get on I-5 and the rest taking 20 to get back home. There's even TWO LANES and the left lane is empty. UGH. So after 5 minutes I turn around and try the other exit.. same deal, but nobody was even moving here.. a few minutes later someone lets me through and I decide not to bother going home now. I can't sit in traffic. I really can't. I don't care if it means staying in town for 2 hours and getting home later.. I just.. can't do it.

So I went and saw Open Season (pretty good, funny).. that lifted my spirits considerably and I was good to go home after that. So I drove home.. I'm drivin' along and I know there's a cop a few cars ahead of me cause I'd just seen him pull off the side of the road back onto it. Anyway, we all make this left turn to continue on 20. There's two cars in front of me and then the cop. The truck takes a left and I'm stuck behind a car going 40 in a 50.. so I wait for the passing zone and I pass him. Unfortunately I catch up to the cop (I believe I was going 60?). We approach a turn and he pulls off and I just had that gut feeling he wasn't taking the turn.. sure enough, I pass him and he gets back on the road and follows me for a short while.. adrenaline is pumping!! I knew he was gonna pull me over. Sure enough, on go the lights. We pull off.. he comes up and says that he pulled me over for passing in a no passing zone. I never pass in a no passing zone.. scary! I explained it wasn't and he was okay with that.. asked if I knew how fast I was going. Trick question? My guess is he had no idea either. So I said 50 just now. He says he was going 55 and I caught up to him. (Right.. I said I was going 50 just now.. cause I was passing by him.. hehe.) Gave him license, registration, insurance.. and he said he knows how hard it is to drive on this road, he drives it everyday, just slow down a little. So I said okay and he told me to have a good night.



Why is it I laugh after getting pulled over? (The first time I got pulled over was in Nebraska.. scary.. the cop even had me get in her car! I don't know if I laughed at that one, lol. This was time two. I knew it was coming soon cause I'd been feeling it lately.)

And the worst part.. aside from my first thought being, "I've gotta call Chris and tell him".. the next thought was, "Gotta post it!"



Hehe. First time being pulled over in Washington.. second time total (both in the xA!).. both times without a ticket. Aside from the 5:00 traffic part.. I think that penny saved my day? Er, night. And my wallet!

 

That's when you've got the bug bad...when you can't wait to rush home & post up!

 

I've gotten pulled over 3 times in WA without a ticket. All in my 01 accord 2 times for loud music and one time for speeding, but I had cali plates and cali license and was able to talk my way out of it.

It was funny cuz the 2nd time I got pulled over I knew it was coming I turned left on a yellow light turned into the parking lot across from the commons mall in federal way, parked got my registration, insurance, and license out and stood by my car while the cop cough up to me. Lucky for me I know the law in CA and played dumb like I didn't know the law in WA for loud music. The funny thing was he waited 20 minutes trying to run my name for warrants and finally gave up and let me go because the computers were down and he could not verify any of my information.
