Default How much have you put into your Scion?

I didn't find this thread anywhere, so here we go! so far, I have only spent around $400-500 on stuff for my car, but should be around $1000-1300 at the end. What about you guys?

I know a person that did $20,000 worth of mods to his car, I think he had a mustang or an eclipse (he is older now, like ~35). I wanna see if anyone can top that

Yeah, thats quite a list. If I had a better job and worked more than 15 hrs a week I could do a lot more with my car. Thats a great price for seats though, I know Tyler (optional) got a great deal on his bride seats and lip kit and harnesses (I think that was the package, there is more I think). I gotta find some deals like that ;)

Haha, I dont have a definite list right now, one thing I can think of right now is a TRD exhaust, cheapest I have seen was $220, and that was used, and local pickup only, and its on the east coast

I dont want to do anything over the top to my car, only doing things that are sort of permanent popular, like TRD stuff (which I dont mind). Ill PM you my full upgrade list later, its almost done besides springs/coils, still deciding on what to get.

Would this thread do better in a general section or is the PACNW subsection fine? If anyone wants to move it, go ahead

With all the abuse he's put it through, it's probably just numb now hahaha

Phew umm, well it's slow this morning at work so why not... I'll edit as I think it all up.

Round 1:
FIG Grills - 90$
VRD Fogs - 105$
Nokya 2500k bulbs for fogs - 15$
HID's - 90$
S2k antenna - 35$
Full Red TBL - 100$
H-Tech's - 165$
Tenzo Type-M V1's 18x8+45 + Nexen 5000's? - 1280$
Clazzio covers 350$?
Lip Spoiler - 125$
Tanabe Concept G Exhaust - 250$
Fujita Intake Wrinkle Black - 170$
Lots of spray paint for stuff - 50$
Suede + Pleather + Glue - 75$
Subs + Amp - 0$ (Won @ Scion Exposed 5!)
Avic D3 + Sub box + wiring - 450$
Avic F90BT (- $400 for selling D3) - 50$
Dunlop Sport 01's for my 18's - 0$

and that's how it sat for a while, cause things like coilovers and stuff were out of reach and I was started to look around at other cars with more potential, ya know, AWD and 4 doors and stock turbo's, basically WRX's and STI's..

then I parted stuff out, don't remember exactly what all went away for what amount but I definitely sold enough stuff including:

FIG Grills sold, Fogs sold, lip spoiler sold, exhaust sold, intake sold, suede/pleather door cards and pillars swapped/sold, HID's sold.

AND then the talks of me trading up cars stopped for now, and I found raceland coilovers... uh oh, so it begins! version 2!

Proxes 4's for my 18's - 700$
raceland coilovers - 350$
camber bolts - 25$
raceland front strut bar - 60$
TRD rear sway - 175$
FIG grills - 60$
VRD fogs - 120$
2500k bulbs for fogs - 15$
HID's - 70$
DocI's radiator plate - 35$
Fujita Intake - 100$
TRD exhaust w/ trade for stock - 100$
Stoptech stage 2 brake kit - 500$
Kaminari hood from the Bzinn! - 450$
forged lugs - 70$
vinyl - 65$ (big effin' roll of it, not total for all the stuff haha.)
Harness bar and downtunes and hardware - $150
stock wheels for winter + paint - 50$
Blizzak's for my stocks for winter - 700$
OEM Lip kit + seats + takata harnesses + tow hooks + kill switch + battery terminals - 1200$
Corbeau 4-pt harnesses from Kanchi - 300$? or was it 250
turbo/dp/mani/some piping and filters - 250$
BOV/WG/dump-tube/AEM FIC/vac block - 550$
Alpine Type-S comps all around - 100$
more camber bolts lol - 15$
guage LED swap by DKFung88 - 100$
Tires for my 18's again, summers - 770$
Front brake pads - 100$
Alternator and yellow top - 800$....
Throttle body - 165$

some of that stuff is maintenance and doesn't really count, but it's recent so I remember it lol.

Turbo stuff is still a project and might never be finished at the rate it's going lol, with all the other stuff my car needs it's definitely on the backburner.

hopefully some '08 headlights are in my future (FRIDAY!) along with an insane wish (mt swap+turbo finished) lol. Gotta make wishes out of airplanes.

There's got to be more just... I have to stop somewhere omg. Please nobody add this all up, please god no.

Chris this made me hate you a little bit, lol.

If I remember there was a thread like this in the owners lounge a long time ago, but it's probably locked or gone or something at this point lol.

Still though, if you get out for 1000-1300 I'll cry a little bit, I can almost guarantee there's more you'll want to do than you have on the list right now, and there's always maintenance, brakes/tires/fluids/etc.

It's funny, as my car is worth less and less, I'm spending more and more, lol.

Keeping them for now, I'd love to use them on some other car and it'd be dumb to sell them for the price I got everything for.

I don't even want to know the total I did, but just a year to 2 years ago I put 3k into the turbo, 5k into the stereo, $800 into the wheels, $400 into suspension, $2500 into paint work, $1000 into cage so that is over 10k just right there

that is depressing when you thinking about it, but i had a lot of fun with my car. Of course that doesn't include all of the registration fees to enter in the car shows and such.
