Lowering Spring Install...
I never drove an Xb or any Scion before this one, so I don't know how to compare it. I would say that it's weird driving a car with such a short wheel base, but it's fun at the same time and probably not as harsh as the ride in a Smart. I look forward to meeting you guys and getting some work done to the IQ... Your wife and whoever else can drive it all you want... lol I'm not possessive yet.
I was looking at my rims when I got home from work... and they seem about flush with the fenders (unintentional)... I picked these rims up off craigslist and it just worked out that way. I'm just wondering how it's going to sit with the springs... I don't think I'm going to get much natural camber with such a small drop... I might bring a couple of my original tires/rims with me in case things don't line up after the spring install. I just don't want to hit the fender on bumps. I think the rim will work but worse case I might have to stretch some tires.
And glad ur wife is stoked bro. When other people are happy, I'm happy.

definately Larry, wouldnt be a bad idea having a spring compressor on hand just in case we needed it. I'm thinking the next ride for us will be a gen 2 xB, with the new baby on the way, gonna need the room.
Also, spring compressors can be rented from Schucks, they give you back your money if you return them in the same condition as when you got them. Thats what I did when I did my springs on the D.
I'll follow this for scheduling. it be hard to use my garage if my car isn't fixed yet, but I'm sure we could pish it out of the way to get in the garage.
Hell the iQ is so small could easily do the work while my car is still in the garage =)

I just installed an amp/sub and replaced my door speakers... that was interesting. Toyota/Scion has a weird way of putting things together, and there was no tutorial on pulling the door panels on an IQ... so several cut fingers later, I managed to get it done.
Did they use rivots to hold the speakers in? I am glad to hear that you were able to get it done, where did you put the sub? Did you remove the rear seats for a sub?
Yeah, the Toytoa/Scion door speakers are riveted in.. I just drilled them out and make new holes for screws. The sub is a single 10 in a box behind my seat... amp is under my seat. I might still make a custom box at some point, but for right now this is fine.
