Okay guys...when I first bought my green box, I was trying to get back into the Scion community and started in the wrong place. I used to be a member of ScioNRG last year and when I went back, I found that the NW chapter had been listed as a Meetup.com group but that had gone under.

Now...since I already had a Meetup.com account, I revived it! But of course we all have a TON of other groups and events going on. It seemed redundant!!!

So...I have changed the Meetup.com space to more clearly list all of the upcoming Scion events and M&Gs!

I'm hoping that this'll be an easy place to communicate with people who might not know of the various Scion communities in our area. Also, it has features such as automatic press releases to local newspapers and listings on Craigslist.com.

I have spent today putting up some of the shows, M&Gs, and movie nights up there. Please let me know if you guys think that this is of ANY service or whether I should take it down all together???

personally for me, it's just "yet another site to have to check daily" as I get most of my info on here, but I think it would definitely be usefull for anyone that wants to see when meets/events are without having to filter through all the threads where we just BS about stuff

I've added all groups (Scikotics/SE/ScionGirls) as well as random events.

Don't worry about having to check it daily.

If one signs up for it...it'll just send email reminders of events. That might be easier for some who don't have the time to scroll through boards and threads daily.

But if it seems like no one will use it, then I'll just take it down. Let me know guys!!!

Sweet! This will make it much easier for me. That way I don't get so side tracked looking at all the threads. Although that is fun I find myself waisting hour after hour looking at this site, I mean I love SL, but I could be spending taht time being more creative for my hooptie. Thanks again for the innovation. I guess the only question I have is, if I sign up will the site give out my email addy and then will I also get a lot of junk mail?

No one gets spammed and the addresses don't get sold or used for any other purpose other than for me to send out information on Scion events.

 

yeah.. i'm diggin the email alerts... should work great for all the smaller shows and regular m&gs etc..... cuz face it.. somedays one is lucky to check emails let alone 2-3 "hobby" sites right??
