We got kicked out of the U village parking garage tonight.

Bunch of new people came, rev'd their engines to set off car alarms, and one went so far as basically doing a 1 man drag down the length of the garage in front of security. *Sigh* guess I hoped we were past having to ask people to be considerate as we have had this location for a M&G for almost 3 years with minor if any issues, and now we may have lost it in one night. There were a lot of new faces tonight which I was hoping would have been a positive, instead we got a bunch of people that had no concept of behaving in a public area...on private property...which ended up in all of us being told to vacate the premises, and the M&G being moved over to the UW stadium parking lot and 2 groups being formed with each basically ignoring each other...not what I had hoped for. Would have liked to talk to more people but I was really embarrassed at that point, and really didn't know what to say. Guess for my own sanity I will say this again:

If you are going to be attending a M&G:

DO NOT
excessively rev your engine
DO NOT crank up your stereo
DO NOT draw negative attention to the group
DO NOT do burnouts or race on the premises
DO NOT attend if you cannot abide by these simple rules as you may ruin it for others

I will contact the property management on Monday and plead our case and see if we can hold still the meet there, if not...

Well right when I pulled in to tha garage, we were already getting kicked out. To many kids with exahusts setting off car alarms and people doing burnouts..needless to say security didnt like that. So we went to a parking lot instead. There was a pretty good turnout, however not what I expected...

Well I missed the festivities earlier but that's not cool what those guys did getting our group kicked out of a place that we've had in good standing for 3 years...

Good seeing everyone, wish me luck w/ my water pump, radiator hoses and drive belt tomorrow, lol.

LOL it waz? check it out. I was crossing the Hewitt ave trestle last night after the meet, and was jumping on it going across. Outta nowhere, a cop shows up, and pulls me over. He tells me he had me doing 78+ crossing the trestle.
I was SURE I was going to get a ticket. But, THIS cop loved my car and asked me a lot of questions about it. He told me he had to haul ___ just to catch up to me, and was LAUGHING about it. After talking to him for a few minutes, HE LET ME GO. Just told me to be careful. LOL!!

Mike you are crazy lucky! Might I suggest you may want to invest in a more lightweight foot maybe carbon fiber or aluminum... might be cheaper in the long run lol

Yeah, I really didn't mean to be driving that fast (and that's the story I'm sticking to). But I was SHOCKED when he came back to my car, handed me my license, and other info, and just said, "lets be careful, and take it easy OK?".. I said sure sure.. anything you say sir... and he let me leave.

LOL!
