Default Morning traffic to Tacoma, coming from Renton

I have to be in Tacoma tomorrow for a job interview but I have *no idea* how traffic is in the morning coming from Renton to Tacoma. I know coming from Tacoma going to Kent or Seattle is a nightmare but how is the other way around (kind of like how Bellevue to Everett on in the morning is nice whereas Everett to Bellevue is a nightmare in the morning).

I have to be there at 10am, so I plan on leaving at 9:15 - 9:30... going either I-405 -> I-5 or I-404 -> 167 then 512...

i'd give your self at least 1hr to be safe... it is a interview after all.. never good to be late to those...

traffic is usually pretty easy going south 5 from south center, couldnt tell ya about 405 or 167 tho...

Your safest route would be I-405 to I-5 in Renton/Tukwila and take I-5 from Southcenter to where ever you need. It's very easy going so you shouldn't have any problems at all but give yourself an extra amount of time, 45-60 minutes just in case and watch the news just before you leave or listen to Komo 1000 AM on the 4's
