Whatever you do, my advice is to stay away from pink LEDs. They will actually fade out over time. The best way is to get white LEDs and put pink films behind whatever it is you are modding, though I'm not sure if this works on the xB 1st gen due to the speedo design. Purple LEDs work, though!

Send a PM to Garage1217, he does custom LED kits and probably charges way less than ebay people.

Hey Erik, does he do the ones for the footwells and cupholders too? My LED kit wasn't terribly expensive, but shipping was rediculous for a peice of paper with like 16 little LED's on it.

Anyone know a good place in PDX metro for window tint? I want the two front windows tinted

Need to get the footwell and cupholders done, decals and window tint next.

Then it might be time to replace the windsheild LOL

Garage 1217 is good to work. I have heard nothing but good things about him. From what I understand the gen 1 xBs are somewhat different in the way of lighting. I forgot who did it but they were putting Cold Cathodes behind their dash. I also agree with Runaway about the pink LEDs. It would be best to use gels and white lighting.

Oh let me know when you're getting ready to do the tints. Maybe I'll get in on it as well for the xD...

Speed Concept is the best place in town for tints. It's a bit of a drive for us on the East Side, but not too bad for you, I'll bet.

As far as footwells and cupholders, those are a whole different game. Those are cold cathode kits with all the wiring and switches. You can get a good deal on the parts from www.trdsparks.com and they come with good enough instructions that anyone with some electrical aptitude can install them without too much trouble.
