Hmmm... I suggested 3 subs earlier that had the same power but you didn't like them because they were "out of my power range." If there is a Best Buy near your place go purchase one and test it out. They have a good return policy so if you don't like it or you do like it, return it and buy it cheaper online

the frequency range of the type r is 26Hz – 500Hz. anything above 100hz is meaningless since most ppl set their low pass crossover at anywhere between 50-100hz. if you want that frequency range to sound better you should invest in some better mid range speakers like 6.5" or 8" components.

not a fan of type r as they tend to take a lot of power to light them up,and they are very soft sounding on the low end.........to me they just do not seem to push the bass with a sound that blends well with the other mids and highs that I like.

Ok well I think i am going with the G5 cause i have read a bunch of reviews and everyone loves it. CJ its what you are running and if you love it its gotta be good. Just gotta ask the wife when i can buy it. I will prolly have to work on the sound system in her explorer first. But i got a sub and box for that already just need wiring a new headunit and some door speakers.

yeah i love it but that doesn't mean that you'll love it. since you have some time before installing it, Go visit a local stereo shop and test out some subs and see if they'll let you test it out in your enclosure.
