Well I might have a place for the "fill the box" event. I have to meet with managment team this weekend. It was asked if it may be possible for us to do it every Sunday until the event. Do we have enough volunteers that could possibly be there alternating Sundays or something in Kent /Renton area? I know I will be out of town Sunday after Thanksgiving but I can do the rest, but people see me and my car and may link it to STREET RACER / THUG. I will have more info this weekend.

Count me in for the Toy Run!! :D Sorry it took me so long to post, but definately add me to the list. Unfortunately my wife can't come with (she'll be preparing for our Christmas get-together that evening), but I think I'll be able to find a few people to ride along with me and bring toys.

It's so great to be involved (even though I'm really new) with a group that not only has an obvious love for cars, but a genuine care for the community, as well!! Hopefully we can get some exposure via the local TV/Radio stations to spread the word, too!!

I wanted to give an update.

I had a meeting but it was kind of a waste of my time because the desion maker was not there. He works Mon-Fri. So they said it sounded great to them because they benifit by people buying toys at their store then donating to us. they are going to run it by the desision maker this week. I think if I dont hear back on monday or tuesday I will go back in and harass.

Needless to say I was a little upset because I told them we could have been out there as early as today. Afterwards I spoke with a person in charge(but not really) at Toys R US they said they already do a Toys 4 Tots drop box. I asked what would the differance between us accepting toys outside (and reminding people of the great charity on the way in) or them accepting toys inside in a bin. They said I had a good point and many people dont even see the Bin until after they have purchased all their items because the bin is by the EXIT door.

But most likely the answer will be NO since we are not a non profit organization and ther is no way to track the toys that are donated to us to make sure they end up with TOYS 4 TOTS.

So hopefully I will have good news TUESDAY.

I am not sure if anyone has any conections at DIXON Toyota or another larger Toyota dealer but I have friends that put together a Motorcycle Toy Ride. They only have 15-45 people every year but I guess DIXON is sending a sales person with a brand new Toyota Truck, and the bed full of Toys all courtesy of DIXON Toyota. It would be great if we could do something like that.

The Dodge places are being basically saying NO. I'm trying to push the fact that maybe some people might find the UGLY Caliber apealing if it came full of TOYS. So FAR all I get is "Talk to us earlier next year"

GOT VINYL?????????????

YOU SOON WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Signs by Tomorrow in Olympia has generously donated a good amount oy vinyl NWTOYRUN 06 to be distributed at the toy run...... we will be asking a $1 donation per sticker to contribute to the Toys for Tots. I should have a pic of what they will look like on a car in a day or so. These will be alot nicer than the santa hats a couple of us made the first year and they will hopefully make the NW TOYRUN bigger and BIGGER each year. so make sure you get there early enough to pick some up for yourself!!!!!!!

Seems like everyone is saying NO. I'm a little disappointed but all said to get ahold of them Sept (ish) 2007 and we can make this happen next year.

Puyallup will represent and contribute! Besides toys, anything else you need at this point?
