Yeah yeah yeah Mr. Smarty Pants. I am going to polish everything on top and just find something to have on while driving to protect it.

I am so excited for this to finally be getting done.

Just do like I did and polish the valve cover and it will look great, the upkeep on the polishing is not as bad as one might think, about an hour a month to keep it looking clean.

I am going back and fourth between that and getting the 08 OEM projectors. I am a little worried, since I don't currently have projectors installed in the car, that I will come across problems trying to redo the wiring harness. IDK we will see.

start with 400 wet
then 1000 wet
then 2000 wet
then hit the hard areas with dremel and polish and buffer
then hit easy eareas with 5000 wet
then polish with rag and meguires mag polish and it is a mirror, easier off the car,but can be doen just fine on the car.

Hmm okay, how do you get it off the car. I think I might work on this while they finish painting.

10mm socket and remove the coils, then remove the plugs with plug socket, then back to 10mm socket and remove all the bolts and nuts holding it on,then it comes right off,try not to bust up the gasket, but if you do it is not expensive.

So its official, I messed up the reflective corners trying to smoke them. I will be ordering a set of the 08 Projectors tomorrow. Finally will be going HID. LOL

SO I wont be able to do the valve cover until Wed. They are finishing the wet sanding today and don't want to risk getting crud in the engine. Since I have a final tomorrow I cant do it then, so hopefully by wednesday night I will have a nice polished valve cover.

Polish it and get Samco hoses and simplify the engine bay, also get a can of your leftover paint they mixed up that does not have the hardener in it if you can so you can detail small parts.

I will be polishing everything that I possibly can. Supercharger, CAI, Valve Cover, Radiator and Ect.

For all of the hoses i will be getting some of the black corrugated tubing and covering all of the wires with that to help clean it up. Also, we will be redoing the radiator to the Mishimito ones, so where we are putting the tranny radiator it will give it the appearance of an inter cooler. We will have to see how that comes out, it may be moved if I don't like it.

Other than that though things are coming along, the car is officially 100% wet sanded and when I left at 4 it was 50% buffed.

I forgot how stupid UPS is, they drove the package through Medford up to Portland to drive it back down to deliver it. So the wheels will not be here until tomorrow, I decided on the Nitto tires and they will be mounted and balanced on Wednesday.

And of course I will be picking the lip kit up on the 28th still, next I just have all of the interior to do Monitors, sunken amp rack and speaker enclosure.

I am so excited to finally be getting towards the end of this long project. :-)

So a new update. I ordered a set of the 09 OEM projectors and they should be here on Thursday. The car is most of the way put back together though and its looking nice, the only thing left to do is the Kenstyle kit and fixing some minor issues. Ohh and finding the dang glass for my hatch.

Locals know the story but basically the glass company lost the rear glass and looking at my rear windows they took the tint off of them for me so that needs to be replaced.

Does anyone know of a doctor that I can get a prescription for 5 or 10-percent tint from?

leave your hoses hoses, wire wrap is for wires and looks weird on hoses......kinda kluttered, also might want to wrap the SC shaft with header wrap.......with all the polished going on heat will radiate even more unless hood is vented..

I was going to get some of that black wire wrap and do all of them in that. Then get some of the black sparco hoses for everything else. Ohh I forgot I still need to put my killerglass thinggy in.

But yes the hood is vented, I plan on covering the valve cover up when Im not as shows so it helps prevent anything from happening to it while driving.
