Last night I volunteered with the Rose City Corvettes at the food bank, we bagged 9330lbs of oatmeal. when I was there I thought it would be cool to see if people from the scion community would like to get involved and get together to go down and volunteer.. If people are interested I would love to arrange time to all go do this.. Is anyone interested??

 

I think it is a great idea!

We should start collecting canned food again too, maybe have a challenge at the meet and greets to see which location can bring in the most.

If you can organize something, maybe we can get donations at the dealerships too...

I researched today and found a group application.. So lets get the list going... who wants to go spend a few hours with me and pack food? I'd like to sign us up for two different days. hey girl on that you can also do a barrel request where you could possibly put it at the dealerships and such. Was just looking into that last night... Can't commit to volunteer at this time but would be happy to help in other ways as we can.

 

yeah we talked about a north vs south TA can food competition. Its getting to the time of year where they need the food... (we should think of ways to fundraise money to buy barrels of food, $25 buys an entire barrel full of food) any ideas Jenn?

 

Let me think on this. Have a million things going on right now...a really stressful situation going on here for us personally so I will see what I can come up with. I have ways of doing a fundraiser through Avon as well where the profits would go to the food bank...which might be an option.

Let me get back to you. Way too much going through my head to think clearly...and the migraine isn't helping LOL

 

no worries girl! and remember I don't live too far from you so if you need to escape for a few I have plenty of vodka in my freezer!

 

I think that's a great idea as well. I know we have done things like this in the past, but we can always do better this year
