Holy crap. You're pretty detailed. hahaha. I've taken many road trips, and most of our planning happens the night before. And then we get half way there and someone realizes they forgot something.

Good work on your planning.

And I agree, get some 2 way radios. They will be alot easier.

Depends how fast you drive, but it usually takes me almost half a tank from Portland to Seattle. Just fill up before you leave and you'll be fine.

I really don't want us to get lost or stuck somewhere,... haha. But yeah, I'll look into the whole walkie talkie thing. I'm sure that someone I know has a good set. My brother used to have these really big military ones,.. that would go as far as a mile apart... but god knows where those are now. ;p

I'm SO not detail-oriented.... SYKE! haha.

Good and CHEAP places to eat, because we're all on a budget.
I've never been to Portland for anything other than business, but there's a small drive-in type place on the way down called Mrs Beasleys that makes some fantastic corn dogs and tasty milkshakes. Good place to stop on the drive down :p

The Downtown area sounds like the place for you. You can park anywhere and walk to the Waterfront, The Pioneer Square (great shopping, Food), Chinese Garden, China Town, It's all there in the Downtown. Maybe a couple of us locals can show you kids around, my wife would love to go Downtown.

Portland's Chinatown isn't what it used to be. Most of the shops/restaurants have moved over to SE 82nd. That's where all the new Asian shops are opening up.

If you do park downtown, don't forget to pay the meter and get a sticker to put on your window. Parking is free on Sundays though.

I think it'd be great to have someone guide us. I'll talk to my friends about it.

Most likely the trip will be either monday, tuesday, or wednesday.
