Default RCA jacks in the Envy xB

This may have been posted elsewhere, me and the search feature rarely get along... the Envy deck has 1-video in and 1 audio in available...!! We are doing some work on one and I had the tech take the deck out a few minutes ago.... no outs for a sub though...

I was kind of wondering that myself. How are people hooking up subs to Envy HUs? I've heard of people tapping the rear speakers, but I'm not sure I know exactly what that means and it sounds bad. As in I don't think I'm going to get the bass that I want by doing that OR it will reduce the output from the back speakers OR I will not be able to adjust the bass levels. Does anyone know how they hook up the Bazooka if you order it as a dealer option?

It is hooked up through a "line out converter" that you can get at any stereo or electronics shop for under $20. I personally, would use a 4 channel converter and tap right off of the HU. That way if you want to add more amp later you can and with the Envy, if you use a 4 channel amp with it running 2 subs bridged mono to each side. When you use your "DUAL" mode you'll get bass response for the front and rear speakers.... Saweet!!

These appear to be video/audio "in"...for a game console or something...

Jasonlm429, have you already done this configuration or are you speculating? nwscionman is hinting that there is no output plugs coming out of the back, and the HU picture that I saw on this forum leads me to beleive that is true. You sound like you know what your talking about, so I'm hoping...

I like the idea of driving 2 subs, but I don't want to give up that much space. I'd like to hear what clever solutions people are coming up with for subs on Envy Greenies.

My configuration will be done on April 11th. I'll take pictures along the way and will post them up.
