Scion camping trip!
So, up at the FoF Show last Saturday, Dave, Erik, and I were talking about a Scion campout before summer is over. I'm thinking if we could get it planned soon, it'd be a helluva good time. So, anyone have any camp spot connections? or some secret spot we could get on short notice? I have kids, and a prissy wife that needs running water and a half way modern bathroom facility, so a place with those would be great. But if not, than it'd be just me an my older son, which would be cool also. Just throwing this out there, if someone wants to pick it up and run with it, go for it!

I vote Ft. Stevens. Its a few miles out of Warrenton, OR which is just east of Astoria. Location & info can be seen here:
http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_179.php
This location has RV & tens sites but also has Yurts!!!!
http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/PARKS/rustic.shtml
Looks like prices are as follows:
Tent site: $21/night
Yurt: $41
Full hook up site (RV): $27
Electrical/Water hookup site: $27
Extra vehicle: $5
Day use fee: $5/day
There is also a Shilo Inn close by:

As well as the town of Warrenton that has several restaurants, and a Costco and Fred Meyers!

My cousin has a house at Ocean Park, other side of the freeway from the beach. 2 bedrooms, 2 hide-a-beds, plus floor space. She just asks that it is cleaned and laundry done before you leave. I could give her a call and see if it is available any time soon.

Yeah, my only issue is space, or lack thereof. If it was farily close, i'd bring both cars, since mine won't haul much. but that far, i'll probably go solo, which is cool. Whatever works for the most people, I'm pretty flexible (not like bendy, so don't get any funny ideas....)

Fort Stevens is cool and has good camping support , Showers and Stores in the area. Don't know if we are going but as already mentioned the weather is changing fast . Let's decide quick .... Not to much time left this year .

seabrook is nice... if you just want to chill in some new england style cottages... anywhere from small studios to 5-6bedrooms... w/hot tubs... if got enough commited people splitting the cost isn't that bad... may fam did it a year or 2 ago... $500'ish for 5bdrm for 2 nights. figure at least 2 people per room $50 a head for 2 nights? in a nice fully furnished house. just supply food

Yeah KK, Seabrook is WAY nice....I would be happy living above tha garage too...And for those who havent been there, the garage has a 1 bedroom loft above em..Plus community bikes to ride around on, private access to the beach...and on and on and on.....
