nope he definately meant ONLY 20 spots, the only reason last years was so big is because we got merged with another all make / model show...20 is still more than the one 3 years ago, it was only like 8 people

 

This is a quote from the RSVP confirmed email for Scion d-VIP about the car show:

FATLACE CAR SHOW PARTICIPANTS:
A limited number of owners with custom Scions have been invited to participate in the Fatlace Car Show taking place at the event. If you have confirmed with us that you are participating in the car show, your name will be supplied to car show organizers. PLEASE NOTE THAT ROLL-IN TIME FOR CAR SHOW is between 8:30AM-10:00AM on Saturday. The gates will be closed at 10:00AM sharp. Parking of Scions participating in the car show will begin near the Scion d-VIP hospitality area on a first come, first serve basis. After the limited amount of display spaces are filled - (approximately 20 spaces), the remainder of d-VIP car show participants will be parked throughout the venue along with other Fatlace car show entries. If you are participating in the car show, you must arrive no later than 10:00AM and you will not be able to leave the venue until after the event.

 

Well...call me a two horned Unicorn.....I got an invite after all...now I need to go tell God I'm sorry about all the things I was saying.

 

I just looked at my pictures from last years Scion d-VIP and there were 39 Scions parked in the VIP tent area for the Scion d-VIP car show. These 39 Scions did not include the other cars that were parked in the same area for the other car show that was going on at the same time and I counted about 16 of the other cars parked in the Scion VIP area. Not sure what Scion has planned, but there should be plenty of room for more than 20 Scions in the VIP area.

 

still no email yet or at all. If anyone is going solo and has no guest, I'm available.

Dear Scion d-VIP,

Thank you for confirming that you will be attending the Scion d-VIP event at Formula DRIFT Evergreen Speedway, Saturday, July 10th. Please find an event schedule, as well as important information about the event and receiving your d-VIP invitation below. The information below will help you plan your experience.

Scion has arranged for free parking for our guests. Please see the map at this link (http://www.scionvip.com/images/event...devergreen.jpg) for a map of the parking procedure. Once you reach the parking attendant, please inform them that you are a Scion d-VIP guest - he/she will check your name from a list that we will supply.

After parking your car, proceed to the Will Call to get your tickets/credentials for the event. Will Call is located in a red tent near the main gate to the event. Your passes get you access to Saturday's main event, as well as Friday qualifying activities. Please note that there are no official d-VIP activities on Friday, and attendance is optional. The Scion d-VIP lounge, which will feature hospitality, is available on Saturday, July 10.

Once at Will Call, please let the attendant know that you are a Scion d-VIP and provide a photo ID. The attendant will provide you with entrance wristbands and d-VIP suite credentials.

We suggest arrivals beginning at Noon. Lunch will be served at 1:00PM. The Formula Drift event will run until approximately 8PM, however you may depart at any time.

There will be a d-VIP associate onsite to manage any questions you might have. Currently, we are expecting dry weather for Saturday but please note that Formula D is a rain or shine event, so prepare accordingly.

so, I just called the number listed, and confirmed I AM in. He was surprised I was unsure, and said " oh no, your DEFINITELY in the car show..." thier email reply was a little generic I thought.

 

i think the key phrase here is "If you have confirmed with us that you are participating in the car show"

so if you sent your rsvp reply saying you wanted to participate in the car show as well. your name should be listed among the people participating.

it was one of the questions in the first email that said "Congratulations! You're invited to the Scion d-VIP Formula D Monroe"

if not there's going to be a lot of people really effin PO'd...lol

Sorry guys/gals. I tried to talk my wife out of going to free up a guest pass, but she's dead set on going.
Now just need to find a cheap and safe place to stay Saturday night.

 

This is correct about the car show going by a personal email I got several days ago from Preston Li with Scion when I emailed him a question about being in the car show. In my RSVP email to Scion I advised them I wanted to be in the car show. Here was his reply to me:

"Hi Rick, You have confirmed your RSVP so you are in the car show and will have tickets at will call waiting for you and your guest".

 

N e one down in the Portland/Vancouver area. Mike (CF KC WIDETC) and I are meeting up to roll to the show around 4:30am-5:00am SHARP Saturday morning. Others are more than welcome to join us. We want to get there at the latest 9:00 am but earlier would be better. Let me know

 

Where are you guys meeting at? Me and a couple others are leaving around the same time, we can all follow together
