Default She was pretty so i took her home...

so i bought an AE86... i saw it on the side of the road and the price was way too good to pass on. it has 0 bondo on the unibody and no rust... the engine has 193000 on it but hey... its a toyota. that and the chances that i am gonna leave a single cam motor in the thing are slim to absolutely none... it just has to get me through the winter. i'd post pics but my camera is being retarded... so its red. and everything works... yay for me!!!

Dude. sick.

I found one next to my buddies house. It has some bad ___ exhaust coming out from behind the front tires, but otherwise, its a rust bucket. Hopefully we're going to buy it and make it a drift champion

my figurance is that one of the hardest parts about gettin into drifting is finding the right platform... i have that now... so for now it is going to be a commuter car so alls i gotta do is keep it running. i would like a 20valve sivler top motor... so if anyone has the hook up on that it would be awesome... also anything from "Toms". it is BONE stock and that is killing me but i just dont have the money to dump into it right now... its bad enough that my tC has to take the back burner for a little while till i scrape up enough funds again to work on that. the 86 needs a new alternator found that out last night when it was dark and rainy... windshield wipers, defroster, wiper motor, headlights, and radio all together equals dead battery... dang.

I keep checking this thread for more clues as to what the hell we're all excited about, lol.

Some sort of Toyota car that probably off-roads, is my guess so far. I could probably Google what it is but that'd take all the fun out of it I guess, lol.

Waiting for pictures and congrats on whatever you bought!

kkawana... I'm very glad I seem to not be the only one confused!

Neolusions... you've given me another clue. It's a car in some movie.

the ae86 is an old rwd lightweight car made by toyota in like the mid 1980's. it became legendary as the feature car the hit anime series 'initial d' which i am a rabid fan of. the car is a great vehicle because it is a light rwd with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. lucky owners of the car who held on to them long enough have enjoyed a sudden spike in resale value because now all us anime/drifter nerds really want them to become legendary downhill specialists in!
