Thanks Tomas.

I think I might just go and get the BSP's oil changed somewhere and then break the bad news to my husband, lol.

Royal Purple? I've never heard of it. Where do I purchase it? Sounds expensive!
the place i work for sells royal purple its damn good oil, ive notice the difference in my truck when i used it.. it is however a bit more expensive then your average oil.. right now we got it for 6.95 a qt.. check my signature for store..

Well, Vanilla just had her oil changed today. Drove over the Scion of Tacoma (no appointment) and asked how long the wait would be. Michael said there was one ahead of me, so I should be out of there in 45 minutes to an hour. I said "Fine, Syntec*, Toyota filter, no wash." He said No wash, you should be out in 45. I was out in just under 45 minutes for a cost of $28.

(I did watch them, and they checked all tire pressures, checked the disc pads, topped up the windshield washer fluid, dusted off the engine compartment, checked all lights, changed the filter and drain washer, and used the proper oil. I'm satisfied.

Tom

* I switched to Castrol Syntec early on, but have moved to Syntec Blend, which for the low-stress life Vanilla leads is just fine. In addition, when one has them use Syntec, one gets complimentary Roadside Assistance Program coverage: http://www.premiumqualityoilchange.com/. Nice touch.
