Sadly, it's snowing down here also (off and on all day today)... So tomorrow, I get to put the steelies back on with the snow tires.... Should be the perfect day to do it in.. snow/rain and cold.... Tis the life of a procrastinator...

Tips for snow driving... hm? Beats me. I drove last night on my route, using chains. Then I tried to venture out today without the chains (they were disintegrating) and couldn't do it. I then put the chains back on and ran to the tire shop and got new snow tires with lots o studs. I'm getting around town swimmingly.

I'm having problems with clearing the snow with the front of my car though. And now that it's all icing over HARD, I should chew it up but nice and good tonight while delivering papers . I suppose this would only be a problem for you if you also got a foot of snow like we did, which I guess in Wenatchee you very well could, eh?

let see.. got into my car and was on the mercer street on-ramp southbound by about 630ish, saw multiple stalled cars, fender bender centerlane near southcenter... rwd benz spinning tires about 1/2 mile before 272nd st exit, semi-truck stopped center lane at the 272nd street exit chaining up, all with some *()&)*(#&$)(* jacka$$ in a luxuary SUV tailgaiting me for several miles.... couldnt see his headlights most of the time.... if i didnt like my car so much.....

pluss its fun seeing your speed-o showing 0mph yet still sliding down a hill.... weaved past a few stalled cars on military road.... then people going up a hill not a major hill but none the less.. decide that they need to come to complete stop before making a right hand turn... granted it was a red light but the only car there was on the left side of the interesection and made a right hand turn...
so needless to say i got stuck on a hill for about 20min tryin to make it home... slide sideways backwards... ugg.. not fun..

finally coaxed the box and learned to finess the TSC system and made it up... and to my house where theres about 4-5" when i got home at 750pm

oh well.. its nice and fluffy white stuff great snow *****, and if i were still skiing...

now making to the bus stop tomorrow and to work by 8am for training class?? hmm that oughta be interesting... guess Jenn is waking up early

Today was the kind of day that caused me to get my first 4X4 back in November'73 (a '74 Land
Cruiser FJ40). I'd gotten a call-out in the middle of the night to cover the emergency center in
Seattle (Pacific Northwest Bell), and it took me 5 hours to get from Auburn to Seattle with no
traffic.

Two days later I bought the Land Crusher at Doxon motors. Used to have an absolute BALL with
that machine. :D

Since I no longer have anyplace I have to be, I'm not going out unless it's necessary. I'll
leave the roads to those crazies I see zipping by down below - sideways...

You people all drive safely, OK?

Yup I told my work to F off too 'cause I am not sittin' in this crap for hours when it already takes me 2 hours to get home from work on a non snow day... And now of course since all the other dip ____e drivers are out there, that makes it harder for the rest of us who want to go out and play or drive short distances..lol Oh well I am really begining to hate this state and should move back to cali i'm thinking!!!!! ha ha ha ha

Another 6 inches tomorrow they say. We can't have another 6 inches... hell, nothing has melted at all... even on the trees. They still look like puff *****.

We're out of firewood... need to get some ASAP tomorrow. 6 inches more on these trees will be tragic.

yeah but its 6 inches that will gradually turn into rain with warmer weather.... or so they predict.

i dunno about weather (wo)men in this state. they predict a massive snow storm on sunday night with sporadic snow showers on monday and then most of it comes down on monday night.

i'm just so happy that I saw "Snow squall to hit Seattle metro area in the next 30 - 45 minutes" title on Komo 4's website at 4:30 on Monday. I was literally running out of building to make the commute from Bothell to Renton. The snow started sticking right when I got off the freeway at Exit 5 in Renton. Perfect timing :-).
