Default so if you watch speed tv much...

I sent in a "confession" letter to car crazy central and they ended up picking my letter. i just watched it and me all jittery happy and can't wait for my copy of the episode to come in the mail to give to my old man cause it's props to him being he's the one who's taught me just about all i know about cars.

the one thing that i saw, which i was warned about in an email before it was shown on air was that they may edit the letter so that it may fit the time they have on the episode. well, seems they did edit it. they took out 3 words "will have" and "potential". the original sentence said "when the project is done, this xB will have the potential to be a 220-240+hp all wheel drive monster". instead, they skipped this and made it sound like it was already done and finished... of course, it's not, the threat i started "a REAL project" is the thread i plan to continue to send updates towards the project as it progresses and finally reaches it's finishing point *which includes, as posted in the thread, reproduction of all mounting brackets and body modification needed to replicate the same setup for later purchase for the closest thing to a bolt-on 3STGE+AWD conversion kit.*.

as stated on the Car Crazy episode, a potential 220-240+hp, 30-40mpg *depending on tuning and fuel production of the added hydrogen fuel hybrid system* and capable 162-177mph gear limited top speed *again, depending on power production, tuning, engine head work and sanity*.

the fact of the matter is, my confession hit the air and can't wait to show my old man, i haven't told him about it... i haven't called him in about a month or month and a half now nor' have i seen him within that time. i think a surprise visit with the episode copy in hand will put a smile on his face.

PS - when i have this kit ready after this project is done... yes you'll have the ability to go REALLY fast, Really fast... do know, my motivation is AWD and rally racing... i don't recommend doing 150+... yes, dynamically the xB is actually pretty aerodynamic... but it doesn't have the necessary down-force on specific areas for those speeds. i want my xB to be rally ready and drift capable, I'm not looking for extreme speed, but if you want it, by all means, just keep it in a straight smooth line...

don't think they are going to show it again, think yesterday was it. when i get my copy in the mail, i'll see about uploading a image copy into photobucket for you all to watch.

i'll keep most of the updates to the project in "a REAL project" found here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...573&highlight=
which i think within the next week will have a new update, update isn't all that much further into the project but it will be something. i've been having trouble finding everything i need past the AWD transfer-case on the tranny. i did run into someone selling a full running and working fron clip that came with the drive shaft and rear drivetrain and suspension assemblies too but i just didn't have the money in hand and boy what a deal it was, $1,350 for it all... really wish i could have snatched that up.

SAW THE SHOW AND MY WIFE LAUGHED BECAUSE IN ONE OF THE PICTURES YOU SENT YOUR XB HAD NO WHEEL COVERS. WHEN I BOUGHT MY XB I RIPPED OFF THE 10 DOLLAR K-MART CAPS THAT WERE ON THERE AND SHE SAID I WAS FOOLISH THAT NO ONE DRIVES WITH OUT WHEEL COVERS. ANYWAY WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY YOUR RIDE AND MAYBE THEY WILL DO AN ALL SCION CAR CRAZY EPISODE

thats the thing though, the show messed up on that letter, i don't have the power they made it seem like i do. i WISH i was pushing 160hp, still sitting at stock. the only things i've done are cosmetic and the only "performance" thing i've done is redirected the air intake to that it's taking in colder air then normal and installed a high performance oil filter... thats it...

BUT, i'll be pushing alot more then 160 in about a year or two, thats for sure. infact, my goal is about 380-400whp and about 325-350lbs torque at all wheels. not enough to beat anything i come across, but enough to be one of the fastest xB's to ever hit the road .
