Good news the next part is as of today in the mail and should be here from San Diego around Monday.......nothing special.......but it is made out of CF......lol.......no not a hatch.......that comes later when I can afford to have the rear window put in one and when I get a garage to store more car parts......the bedroom is full now.......almost like a garage but with a bed......lol

 

Ok another piece of CF is coming soon,but not in time for FD.......money is tight and I wanna avacation..........other wise the $140 it would cost woudl be nothing and no one else has it yet either.....so finally a first.......lol......give me two weeks and I will have the money for it.......I may eat ramen for a month but oh well......

hey brian what type of wood did u use for the false floor in the tc?

 

13/16 birch.......it was lighter weight than MDF and since it was gettign covered in suede I used it.......but there is a lot of sanding and filling with wood putty that has to be done compared to MDF,but I wanted a little lighter install,car is gettign heavy fast and the piece is like 2lbs compared to same size MDF weighing 20lbs.

Well started to work the doors on painting now.......got the centers of the panels out and they are cleaned and starting to sand,one is almost done to the 220 grit point......long ways to go....

 

Got started on a little "ratting" of the hatch, a little patina work and some UK inspired checkers.

OK just made $100 doing tiles this week......so ordered the new CF part.......a CF gauge pod.............oh yeah.......and the panel work is coming along pretty good,first piece is nearly ready for paint........wont be ready for FD on the panels...but by October they will be ready .........tghen Clazzios..........custom order.........then Zex............then who knows.......BBK...........ohhhhh lallaa.........lol

got a source for paint so waiting till tomoorow to find out what a quart will cost with thinner and hardner and flex additive......to paint the interior panels...........oh yeah........finally got a piant shop on board.....that is a good thing......

 

Working on some rust

 

My car should be in the shop this week to get my parts installed from Scion Squad! I am excited!

 

Still not working on much myself. Thinking of painting the cage myself, but probably not going too

 

Continuing on with the "Rat Look", did some Patina flames with just tape and sandpaper. Still need to do the fenders, but at 102 degrees out, just the hood about killed me!
