finished cutting the plastic. I just need to sand down the edges and install the rubber protective edgeing that i just ordered. I am pretty impressed with the look so far. Hopefully will have all my wireing ran for the subs tomorrow. I will have to wait til next weekend it looks like to finish runnign the speaker wire through the doors and mountign my tweeters and components as that does take a lil bit. Should have my valve cover done tonite hopefully. Laying down the clear coat now then gonna bake it one last time then a quick wetsand.

So here are th pics.

Yea i didnt realize that when i bought it. But i subconsciously thought ahead and I saved money by getting 1/8th inch. It has enough flex to get it in. Im so glad. I mean if it didnt I wouldve prolly made it into 2 pieces and made it look pretty where it was split. But it works. I test fit it before removing the protective paper.

Heres the valve cover as I am clear coating it now! Its a baby blue color. As close as I could find to Azure Pearl out of a rattle can but its the color i did my interior in which some of you have seen and it matches quite nicely I think!

Looking good Dibbz. Those are cool looking for sure. Mad Scientist I did not use high-temp paint. I followed the DIY in the Tech section. The person who made it didnt use high temp either. Its fine if you do it right. You just have to bake it and everything. Nate (Newtc4me) did it and his worked fine. He gave me the directions since he printed them out.

Yea it is coming along quick. Im glad it finally is though. Im tired of seeing everyone else rides come together and my poor lil Betty just sat there. But now i am happy and accomplishing alot. Thanks as well.

Yea as long as you bake it, it seems to hold up. I just finshed my final coat of clear and am gonna throw it in the oven in about 25 min to let the paint dry. Then once its done a very light wetsand and hopefully a finished product. It is also cool cause its so much easier finding a color you like this way cause high temp has a very poor selection. But its in the tech section. The DIY is done on an XA but its all the same steps.

Here is the next step in the install.....

It is not perfect but it is not too bad either......next step plexi and mount amp to it.

then build framework to support and hook it all back up.
