I'm looking at buying a used sv650s. Its a 2005 with 18.5 k miles for 2995 from a used bike dealer. What do you guys think? Should I pick it up? I know nothing about used bikes but the mileage seems kinda high but some people say that these bikes fan go forever.

18.5 is not even close to high milage. 3g is a good price. if you take care of it it will last a long time.

Picking this CF wing for the xB in a couple hours...soo excited. It's used and possibly abused, but I'll make sure it gets put to good use.

Mission accomplished, Fab(like) CF wing installed...couldn't buff out some scuffs but otherwise in good shape. I had to fabricate my own c-clamp wing clips and doubled up 3M tape on the ends. Tried so hard to center and messed up tiny bit. Will probably roll this way for a while and then retry install in a month or so. Sorry about the doody looking pick, took @ work can't crop iphone...I might be a little lazy too.

Not bringing my tc to WA anymore, decided to keep it in NY... but i'm getting a bike, either 2009 VFR800 or 2009/10 CBR600RR.. I will have to see which bike suit's me better due to my size (6'3'' , 230 lbs) . If on the bike i don't look like i stole CBR600RR from a teenager i'll get it and if i determine that VFR800 is bigger bike and suits me better then i guess i'll roll on that.

BTW guys since i've only spent 2 month in WA before deploying, when does it get cold for riding a motorcycle ? I hear some of my buddies from the unit say around october it's already cold but isn't that too early ?

Rus, welcome to the PNW it rains just as much, if not more, than they say it does. Why are you leaving the tC in NY?

^^ Thank you.

My tC is staying in NY because the transportation fees are around $1500 (plus these trucks companies i noticed sometime are not too carefull and really don't give a crap about your car. Last time my car was transported from TX to NY my little ipod grew legs and ran away i don't know if it happened at the shop where the car was or during transportation but it's gone. My mistake on forgetting it there but i was moving to WA back then and it slipped off my mind), in addition to that there is no good Hydra tuner near by and by keeping the car in NY when i go home it means i get to use my car and have fun with it instead of driving my dad's or my brother's cars.

As far as my daily driving i'm planning on leasing something affordable for 2 years while i'm at Lewis.
i was looking at Ford Fusion or honda Accord.

You try UPS? I heard they ship it for 900. I would suggest a cheap car if you a bike is your only mode of transportation out there. Maybe an old civic or corolla. Or save for the tC to come out.

Hey Brock whats happening bud ?

nahh i already decided to keep the tC in NY... plus i don't want to daily drive my fully built car since i'm keeping it for a long time now, lol (too much invested)

I would much rather prefer to lease a vehicle around $250 a month to drive to work and get a bike for weekends to ride... i think it's a good plan. That way i keep the mile off my tc and still enjoy my time in WA and NY by having pleasure rides at each destination.
