Default spun rod bearing at 79k

spun the rod bearing in my 06 tc sat night. wasnt even being hard on the car and it was full of oil. WTF! newer cars are suppost to last alot longer before something breaks. my 86 jetta had 325k on it before it spun its rod bearing. oh well get to rebuild it the way i want

Right at 79k on the dot for me actually Erik, sucked getting it back together, took 3 months to sort it all out with even trying to figure out what happened.

I just did the timing stuff while I was in there, but good idea doing the wp while you're in there, I've been through like.. 4 of those.. some say my car should be considered a lemon with my luck on repairs..

Anyway, best of luck, mine is running strong after recovering from this, it's ridiculous though that it happened.

ya there is no reason a newer car does that. well glad to hear that your car is still going after a rebuild
