I'll miss next Friday's meet but I plan on making the car show on the 11th in Spanaway, and the one Oct.3rd in Tacoma.

Just an FYI, Winco now owns the furniture store in Tacoma. They may have the construction barriers up by then. They kicked the Fantasy World Hobby rc races held every Sunday off the lot. We were able to work a deal with the Home Depot for the rest of our season. Better have a backup plan just in case.

So the meet is now at Home Depot? Is that on the other side of the freeway, or same side?

If we need to move, at least we had a good run at this location for over three years.

I'll do some checking with Home Depot (across the freeway from the current spot) to see if they are at all amenable.

Kenny? Could you drop me a PM on a contact at Home Depot? Be easier than just hitting them "cold."

Griots might be an option for you guys. We stay open until 6 in the store and the gates are open until 7. Talk to any of the guys in the store if you want to go this route.

That would be a lovely solution, Dustin, except that the M&Gs tend to run 8PM to 9PM to fit people's schedules.

Meeting at a "car place" like Griots or any Scion dealership would, of course, be the ideal solution, but everyone seems to like to lock up their lots.

I think it's just an exit or so away, not far though. If the meets were on Saturday, they could run earlier though..... just sayin'.

We are only two exits north of there. Would love to have it at our place. We move into the new building next month so I will run it past the powers that be.

Titus-Will is only about 3 miles away from the current meet point, and Larson about a mile. Titus-Will is close to Tacoma Mall and the restaurants and such there, where we have often ended up after meets...

Griots is just down the street from Titus-Will.

There are a lot of "parking lots" suitable for our little monthly M&Gs, the problem is getting the lot owner/manager to accept the idea of us using a corner of their lot for a little over an hour a month and giving us written permission.

A group meeting on a parking lot (private property), no matter how well behaved, is often chased off by "security" or the Police unless they have proof whoever has control of the lot approves the use.

We'd be happy to accomodate an earlier start time or a weekend day for the group. If you guys are interested, let me know and I'll set it all up for you.

Meeting at 5PM on weekdays wouldn't be possible for many gainfully employed Scion folks, so that would leave the weekend, and an even earlier start time, Dustin.

I'd really enjoy meeting at Griots, but I'm not sure the times would work.
