My Friend's baby blue Scion tC was stolen from her apartment in Everett this weekend. The thief ran it into the side of the car port so the right side mirror is broke off. Here are pictures of it as it was before being stolen. Any help that you can provide would be great.

wait i thought scion had this thing where you need to key to start the car like a computer chip in the key that signals the car to start thing or the car wont start???? and if so how did they get away with the car???
maybe the doors weren't locked, I think you have to do that to activate the immobilizer???....I dunno, because mine has an alarm, and they had to bypass it, which sucks, but I love my remote start, lol.
you have to have one of the keys in the car to bypass the immobilizer. When you had your alarm installed they took the valet key and put it somewhere in the car so you can start the car remotely.
So if the stolen car had an aftermarket alarm, it could have been stolen because of it. If that makes sense.

you should have 2 keys with the remote built in and a valet key that just has the key with the chip in it. When you get an aftermarket alarm they will take the valet key and place it in the dash close to the ignition so that it will bypass the immobilizer. If they are smart they will destroy the key part and just have the chip in there, Otherwise you could disable the alarm, find the valet key and drive off.
