Tint %
Are you just having the front windows tinted on your xB? My girlfriends tC is being tinted Friday.
Chris does an excellent job. He has tinted all my cars and all of our friends for about 10 years now. I would recommend him to anyone looking for tint.
If you are interested in wheels let him know. He has quite a large selection to choose from.

BAHAHA! sorry, i know it's an old post, but that was great
i'm thinking of 20% all the way around on my TCM. i'm not too worried about my fronts matching my backs. but at night time, i want it dark enough that you can't see into my cargo area specifically so that noone can try to break into my car after seeing a pair of subs in the back. anyone have any opinions on that? what tint level would do that without turning heads?
think i'm going to go with 20% all around then. the other night i took the time to go around town and find some dark roads and hopped in the back while parked and check out the visibility seeing as having 20% on the fronts match the stock on all the back windows. then when it comes to my sub set up, think i'm going to paint the machined finishes of my JBL's in black so that you can't hardly see them in any reflection. because they are GTI subs, i'm going to have them mounted in reverse mount off the quarter panels and having the machined spots out in the open will make them easy to see so i'm just going to paint those parts, that plus a 20 tint ontop of the stock tint should make it perfect.
Last I heard the tint law for Washington was repealed because it was poorly written. The law said something like tint can not be more than 35%. The question was can it block up to 35% of the light, or can it let a max of 35% of the tint pass.
My Honda and XB are had dark tint and I was fine. I did get pulled over in my Honda for loud music and was told my tint was too dark, but the officer at the time did not have a tint meter, and I had California plates so he just let me go. I have never been bothered since.
I agree as mentioned above that in the winter it can be hard to see with dark tint.

when i asked around at the local police stations here they all basicly told me that they don't rarely ever carry window tint meters cause it's not that big of a deal as long as the person isn't being stupid.
as for the law goes, it's supose to be how much light is actually passing into the inside of the car. so it would be 35% of transfered light into the cab. but taking in consideration how cops don't really care anymore and most vehicles sold off lots now have darker then 35% inside anyway *like our back windows* i'm guessing it's something that just don't care about anymore unless their spot lights don't shine through your windows.
there's a guy that i see pretty often with a VW something... not sure what it is but it's bottom half is black while the upper half is purple. the windows on it are so dark then when it's front end is facing me i can't see through his side windows looking at them through the windshield and i've watched him drive by cops countless times and he's never been pulled over for it so i think it's safe to say that it's not that big of a deal.
