Default Total A-Hole Driver on the roads... in a tC RS1.0!!

A question before I post the specific details of the message...

Can we post license plate numbers on here to inform others of a complete, as I mentioned "a-hole" on the roads. The other morning on my way to work, an RS1.0 came flying from behind me at WELL over 90-100mph and swerved between the lane to my left, to directly in front of me, missing myself and the driver he almost rear-ended EACH, by LESS THAN 2 INCHES.

This is in no way an exaggeration, and it's the first time I've ever felt the "wake" of a car that is literally of equal size to mine. (You know how if you're pulled to the side of the road and a bus or HUGE semi goes by, the vehicle rocks? Yeah... THAT! But I was going 70 at the time!! )

So I'd like to make a thread posting anytime we see people, specifically IN SCIONS doing something inherently dangerous, life threatening, illegal, etc. Not that they necessarily use this board, but I would have no problem rejecting anyone in my club that shows that much disregard for the safety and LIFE of other drivers (Scion or not!)

If there's a policy about displaying a person's license plate number, please let me know and I'll refrain. Upon the reply of a mod though, perhaps saying it is okay, I will post exactly that! People need to know about this guy! I was literally scared as he came up behind me and weaved as hard as he did between us!

And like I said, regardless of mods, resources, connections or anything else... Scikotics/Seattle has ZERO tolerance (at least as far as I'm concerned) for behavior like this!

And if I remember correctly, Darren had a pic of an OR state xB in a handicapped spot...

Yeah.. I know whom your talking about if it is the same car by chance.... He just about caused a 3 car incident in Everett a week ago when I was enroute to Canada...He was easily doing 90+mph dodging in and out of traffic...terrified the hell out of me.

Male, that looked to be between 30-40? Short hair? Or was it all just a flesh colored blur?

This was actually down in the southend... I don't know the name of the highway, but from 167 North exit the Willis exit, take a left and it turns into a highway that connects later with I-5... It was about 1/3 of the way to I-5.

And did I mention he was abusing the carpool lane?

Also, while I'm mentioning stuff, I don;'t BELIEVE it's factory but I'm not sure on the RS... the rear scion and tC badges were intact, but the front one was missing. Is this a 1.0 thing I've never noticed, or is that a mod?

couldn't tell, going to fast and he also dipped into the HOV lane quite a few times. He probably passed me as I was doing 55-65 and he was a straight blur. For the most part and the fleeting glance, it look completely stock.

One thing I forgot to clarify on...

I mentioned the position I hold regarding Scikotics/Seattle and members/potential members driving in this manner.

This is not in any way to say if you're ever going 5 mph over or cut someone off you're out... I have a couple speeding tickets of my own. But mine were from going too fast on a nearly empty roadway where I was a hazard to no other vehicles.

Anyone that holds ZERO regard for other people's lives has no place in Scikotics/Seattle.

And I would hope this is something that the "higher ups" in SE would agree with me on regarding their club and it's viewpoint on this topic!

i'm sure with some snooping, we can narrow it down to how many rs1 owners are around here.

Well, like I said... I got the license plate number... Just not sure if SL has a policy that makes it so I can't post it in this situation...

Last thing I need is another warning... you know?

Off topic: Happy bday!

as a " SE HIGHER UP"... i would have say yes we agree that, that kind of behavior has no place in our club...... the only... and i say only time that Speeding to that degree is allowed would be on a dedicated track with the appropriate saftey measures in place...

but thats the only place speed like that should ever be allowed

happy bday qrymson

As a Mod, there will be NO POSTING OF LICENECE PLATES for this purpose what so ever.

Also, a thread that contains only information about jerks on the road is not exactly the friendly sort of thing we want to promote here at SL, however there is no rule stopping you from doing it. Please keep in mind however, it will be an off topic thread and will not be stickied or announced.

On a side and more personal note

R.A.S.R. It aint legit without a timeslip.....

If someone's driving a scion and is being a total a$$, putting other people's lives in danger, by all means let everyone know. As far not promoting these kind of threads because they are not exactly friendly, check out some other threads in the offtopic category, I'm sure you can find about a dozen or more where people are posting just plain rude and inapropriate comments. So InTheWASide, thanks for sharing your story.

Well, based on Dustin's remarks and the fact that it was all caps, I think now would be a good time to thank god I didn't just go and post the license plate.

Injentc23- I absolutely agree with you and that was the point of this thread. Is to let people know about the completely rude sons (and daughters) of _________ (rhymes with witches ) that endanger others.

It can serve as a way to share info between clubs so there isn't a case of "WHY'D YOU LET HIM IN. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT ONE TIME S/HE ....________" etc which would just be a bad istuation no matter how you look at it. And I can guarantee I'd want to know about people that are pulling that kind of crap...

Dustin- Can I ask, in an attempt at clarification ONLY what thedifferent would be between saying "Guy with WA plate ABC-123 ( <---obviously not a real plate...) almost killed some people." and Darren posting that pic of the BCP xB at a theater in Oregon illegally parked in a handicapped spot, with not only the plate number showing, but he typed it in his thread as well? Please, EVERYONE, understand this is not an attempt to start anything. I'm simply wondering what the difference is, or if it's seriously, honestly, and literally a case of "He's the admin he can do it. No one else is allowed?"

Brad- its not you. Its just a liability thing. Posting someone's personal information like that leaves a lot of potential for someone to say somthing a little off color about them or thier driving abilities and leave the folks who made the comments open to lawsuit, retailiation etc...

Plus, while I feel I am playing devils advocate here, that guy today could have been a doctor rushing to the hospital to save someones life. You dont know...you never know....Also, there are a lot of crappy drivers out there. No offense to you, but I dont really want to see a post about everytime you get cut off in traffic. So if you feel the need to post something at all, its just best to do what you did and give maybe a general warning and say look out!

Well, in THIS particular case, I can guarantee it wasn't a doctor. This morning I found myself giving the SAME person a ride to work, and on the EXACT same stretch of highway (It was the 516 btw) he pulled the exact same crap...

And while I will NOT give the full license # as I understand the reasons you gave, I WILL say that if anyone on this board encounters an RS1.0 tC with the standard WA license format (###-AAA), the LETTERS on the license plate are TWI. If anyone on here would like the full thing I guess you could call me or I can PM it to you, but to respect the wishes of this board i WILL NOT POST IT IN ITS ENTIRETY here.

And Dustin, while I understand what you're saying in your last paragraph, I'm not making this thread for people to vent about being cutoff once in a while or "Driver of 123-ABC waited TEN SECONDS at a green arrow before he went..."

This was made so that people in the area can be aware of the people that SERIOUSLY need to lose their licenses...

Sorry for any confusion

I always wave when I cut people off.......

Just kidding....obviously but yeah, there is a difference between driving fast and putting people's lives at risk and obviously this guy had no regard for anyone's safety including his own. Personally, I would call the police anytime I saw this guy driving like that. I am sure other people already have so it wouldn't be just you.
