FRIDAY THE 13TH APRIL 2007 marked THE 2007 TOYOTA GRAND PRIX (DAY ONE)
in LONG BEACH, SO CAL !!!



A beautiful day that friday afternoon for great times with buddy Darren !!!

We started early at 7:30 AM and our first destination PRIOR to the Toyota Grand Prix at ...
JESSE JAMES' WEST COAST CHOPPERS !!!

Parked outside the shop ...

Hmmm cool design ...



After a great time out there, it was time to head out to the TOYOTA GRAND PRIX !!!

And we ARRIVED !!!




Damn and we were REAL EARLY !!!



Heading to the Main Area, we saw some great Races already underway ...






This fella spun out ...



And one of several oopsies that day ... This fella was AOK !!!



After a brief watch of the race that morning, it was time to head to the LB Convention Center
where MORE GREAT VENDORS & RIDES were on DISPLAY !!!







Upon entering ...

Saw this great Mustang under close observation ...



And we were in !!!

As it was hot out, Darren wanted to JUMP IN the SPA ...



Back to MORE RIDES ...

THEN IT WAS FUN TIME !!!

Bungee time for the kids (they looked like stuffed dolls from far away) !!!




Then it was our turn to check out the TOYOTA TRICK SHOT FUN PHOTO !!!

Meanwhile back inside it was then time to check out the ...

DRIFTING RIDES ON DISPLAY !!!

Back outside ...




We found the Celebrities' SCION tC'S !!!




And the OFFICIAL SCION tC PACE CAR !!!




Time to get some grub (FINALLY)



Washed down with some ...



Looked for some great new Sun Apparel (Hmmm ...)



Listening to some great MARIACHI music ...



And Darren got Lei'd with beads from the beautiful latina lady !!!



After the great lunch it was time to head back inside, kick our feet up, and watch the races ...




Also inside, they were filiming SPEED Channel !!!




Then it was time to get into the *VIP* Section to check out the actual RACECARS !!!





Back in the Main area we saw this great Toyota produced fully funcitional human like robot !!!



Then Darren wanted MORE PHOTO OPPS WITH THE HOTTIES !!! (I'm NEVER taking Darren to SEMA ... EVER)




Then after a great day it was time to head back outside yet again ...

for MORE PHOTO OPPS !!




Time to head back to the parking structure ...



And then headed back home to close the day off with some great Japanese Food at ...



BIG PROPS to OUR GREAT FRIENDS FROM SCION EVOLUTION, we saw their AWESOME PROJECT S.E.R.T. RIDE THERE !!!



And getting home that TOYOTA TRICK SHOT photo was already online !!!

Great Pics Rodney.....we went today and has a Blast. If anyones into racing this is a Must race to be at. Great venue with lots of stuff to do and many great vantage points to see the race.







Its definetley worth th trip out if you can do it!
