Default California Vehicle Code HELP!!!

I've read the sticky but can't seem to get a straight out answer.

Here it goes:

Is it illegal to have clear corners with white light? Or is it better to have clear corners but put orange bulbs instead? Or is it just illegal to have clear corners itself? I'm so confused.. Please help.

Thanks!

Ohh shoot.... Thanks Trung!

But how about smoked sidemarkers/corners? Does it make any diffence from the clear corners?

No, it still has to be a yellow (amber) light and reflector (DOT regulation).

I think installing my clear corners was a bad idea.

I think I'll just get amber LEDs and stick it in. Hopefully it'll be all alright.

Thanks guys!

I doubt you'll get any beef over them as long as you have amber lights. However, if you get popped for another violation, they're fair game.

yeah.. the reason why i said no for the second question was that you need to have it REFLECT amber... not just have it lit up that color.

but yup.. fair game.

Have never seen a post on anyone having a ticket for cleared corners. Still--they could get you if they wanted.

I just got myself amber lights for the corners. I hope that'll do the trick. And besides, I'm only concerned at night time; because popo's would easily spot a car without amber corner lights and they're more aggresive at night issuing tickets.

I appreciate your help guys.
