Hey wassup yall. Lee here, I'm with the company that's putting the event together. The event is not on hold it's still a go. If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask. Just keeping it short because I want to keep within the rules of the forum, but thought I'd check in and answer some questions if anyone has them.

Q: Rain or shine?
A: Yes we are rain or shine to a limit. If there's rain the autocross might not be able to happen depending on what the SCCA's rules entail. But the car show among other events will still happen.

Q&A (well sort of): dbgchef did not offer to dance as far as I know, but heck man go for it haha.

Q: insurance?
A: We have insurance covered as far as the AutoCross goes, as far as insurance for watching dbgchef dancing I can make no promises. Seriously though, you will need to sign a waver but that's about it.

If I missed any questions let me know.
Also, thanks a ton XBBOY for helping out with info. for everyone (as far as I know everything he's posted thus far seems very much correct). Again the Event is not on hold we're good to go

Edit:
Q: big $$?
A: Indeed, as far as how much/what the prizes are we don't exact info yet but prizes will be involved.

I will give the head of the SCCA a call right now and find out what exactly the rules are so we can have them for yall.

As far as the waiver, I'll hunt that down so you can see what you're signing off on. Heck I want to know as well haha.

Edit: The waiver is actually from the SCCA so I'll kill two birds with one stone.

DoubleEdit: By the by, you can register yourself and your car http://crowntoyota.com/en/about_us/john_elway's_crown_scion_autocross.cfm for the event.

*the flyer on that link is being modified to include the sponsors and prizes so it will change soon.

Yep still on,
Opens March 30th 7 am
Racing starts @ 9 am

Edit: Alright got a hold of the gentleman from the SCCA

Rules are: Helmet Required (like I mentioned before they will have helmets). Must have working seatbelts, battery secured, no bald tires. After registering, prepare your car for TECH INSPECTION; remove all loose items from your car, center caps or hubcaps should be taken off of your wheels, then go to TECH, they will inspect your car for the safety items that were mentioned above. And of course, no drinking and driving. They will also go over the rules before the races begin.

All rules are from the solo2/CSCC website (california section of SCCA).
