fyi whatever inspection you need.....most likely a smog or state ref....they check VIN numbers. if it were that easy, everyone would do the same thing

no you're definitely gonna have to put it back to stock in order to pass for the state ref. some people have gotten lucky and they'll "overlook" a CAI but thats not the case for everyone. your safest bet it putting it back to stock. none of those parts are legal. if your parts are state legal, you should get a paper stating they pass CA emission laws and are below the 95 decible rating.

yea thats true, you can just pay the ticket and be done with it. thats what im going to be forced to do. the only thing is that if you pay it, the fine is automatically doubled if you get pulled over for that again.

Well if you got a ticket for modified emmissions and got a code 02444(something like that) I think you gotta go to state ref before paying it

i don't think you do. i had the same ticket before but i just paid bail. i thought i needed to, so i brought my car in, but they wouldn't service my car because it was "too low.." soo, i never got my car fixed, and just paid the bail amount.

Yea BlkTC is right Eddie, you don't have to go in. You just pay the bail amount and run the risk of getting pulled over again. Like I said, if you get pulled over again though, the fine automatically doubles.

Do they have the right to though? Cuz I remember I heard somewhere that they werent allowed to do so unless they had a warrant or some kind of documentation to do so

You have two-tone paint, wheels, body kit, and/or whatever else the cop can see from looking at your car after you've been pulled you over. That "warrants" probable cause to ask him to pop your hood..

You do not need to produce a warrant to search your car. ever. Those are for searching your house for drugs and things. lol.

if i recall correctly, (correct me if i'm wrong), but i think a warrant is needed to check the trunk of a car. but i'm pretty sure any cop can spice things up towards their own advantage where they can search your car..
