i dont know how the argument came about hurricanes and tornadoes being worst.

if you ask me earthquakes are worse.

atleast they give you a warning to evac. and get to safety. with earthquakes there is no warning. with tornadoes and hurricanes you can hide underground or higher ground if flooding happens.

with earthquakes there is no safe place to hide.

I got that creepy emergency alert message from Fullerton, telling me not to come to campus because campus is closed to nonessential personnel. What building got cracked? I hope it wasn't the new gym or the health and human sciences building....I would be so sad!

I work in Anaheim Hills... when it hit I happen to be on a lunch break and a light fixture in the break room nearly hits me in the head as it's falling. I go to my office when the shaking stops and two panels from the ceiling is hanging low.

Then we start the evac and as we're going down the stairs from our third floor office, we see cracks in the walls. Then we hear laughter as someone mentioned that another person was clearly not thinkin' and took the elevator.

We get outside an we start to see that one of the windows has some four foot long cracks. Wow.

I get home to Yorba Linda and the only casualty is a glass candle holder. Other than that, a couple of things fell over... no cracks in the walls or the windows.

The funny thing is that my wife e-mailed me during the evac and asked if our big screen was okay.

Weird, didn't you do that contact information update thingy when the email system switched over?

BTW, this is Erin. I'm on Patrick's computer and I guess his account was already up. Oops.
