Just got home from SFV where my grandparents live, back to La habra hts, I was expecting to see orange skies and mass chaos, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that things were pretty calm, even though the fire is only 5 - 6 miles away. Hopefully the cooling weather makes a big difference and helps out

XIEmperorIX - I remember that you lived pretty close to me, if you hear of anything with evac and our area plz let me know, and I'll do the same

it's gotten worst out here in the valley and it looked like it has gotten darker on the south side towards the yorba linda fire which isn't good to see. hope everyone near the fires is safe and doing good.

I hope everyone is OK.

Louis (sancho xB) stayed at my place last night and was able to sneak past the police this morning to check on his apartment. Although much of the complex had burned to the ground his place survived. He is in the Cascades on Santa Ana Canyon Road. If you were watching the fire coverage yesterday a few of the reporters were stationed right in front of the complex which overlooks the 91 Freeway Toll Plaza. It was a long and nervous night for him not knowing if everything he owned was destroyed.

Rodney told me that Nilo also survived the fire. His home is just blocks away from Louis in Anaheim Hills.

I have not heard from Ryan (trigg) who lives in Brea and was threatened yesterday when the fire jumped the 57 Freeway at Lambert Road.

From the reports I have seen today the Triangle Complex Fire is moving North towards Diamond Bar, Toner Canyon and Carbon Canyon. John Sr. (Mr Sparkle's Dad) lives in that area. I will be checking with him to make sure he and his family are OK.

If you live in the evacuation areas or know of any members who do, please post up in this thread to let us know if they are OK.

I'll be keeping good thoughts for those of you who have homes in danger. Remember, your possessions can be replaced, you can't. If the Police or Fire Department officials ask you to leave, don't hesitate, just get out.

Thanks for posting Taz. I did not know there was a fire so close to Anaheim Hills. My Dad lives there so it made me pick up the phone to see how he was doing since i had not heard from him.

I just talked to Louis and he was able to go in with the police and get some of his stuff out of his apartment. The fire came within 5 feet of his front door. The buildings around him burned to the ground. One of the apartments in his building had damage to the floor above the garage so they are going to assess and assign a colored tag for it. Green is OK, Yellow is marginal and Red means no entry.

I believe Karma rewarded Louis on this one. He's one of the best people you would ever meet.
