Default fix-it ticket need cop to signoff.

well around 3:15 a very bright and hot sunny day i decided to roll up my tinted windows and use the A/C full blast. i wad making a left turn and i saw a biker cop turning right towards me and there is it our eyes met through the dark tint +_+. i was like **** dont make a u-turn and....... he did and cut everyone else to catch up to me.

nothing serious a fix-it ticket 10 bucks to pay it off butttt i dont want to take em off.. my options are

1) take off the tint and cop signs off the ticket.

2) find a local friend that knows a cop to sign off the ticket and keep the tint.

so anyone in so-cal have a family that knows a friendly cop that is willing to sign it off that'll be great i can give you some cash for the trouble since it'll cost me to retint the front again. i might sound stupid and selfish but i want my privacy!!! thanks!

Default tint violation

Man I feel you on the ticket...I recently got busted also...this was my 2nd time. Cops all over california are poppin people for tint. I hear it's a something they are really enforcing now and they are really trying to get as many people as they can. They want tint off every car that has them on the front windows. Goodluck finding a cop to sign it off for you man. Also keep in mind if you keep getting popped for your tint...your fine does increase...my 2nd ticket is $130.00.

California f-n blows.. it's the most control freakish state there is.. stupid law makers.. I got a buddy that lives in arizona.. you can tint your front windows legally and since they have no smog laws, you can have whatever exhaust you want..!

When I had my beater Honda Civic, my windows were tinted but never got pulled over. I just got my windows tinted 2 days ago and got them 35% in the front. I'm hoping I don't get pulled over for it and if i do, i'll show the cop my eye doctor's note to let me have a "mild" tint in the front windows. I'd rather not find out if the note works or not tho.

Hopefully everything works out for you with the tint and stuff.

this is why i'm scared to put tint on the front windows... i'm just lucky that the cop that pulled me over for my tinted tail lights let me peal it right off in front of him.

I got a tint ticket back in the day when I had my truck. I had a medium tint with chrome flames on the front windows. Had em on there for about a month and got busted. Got me for my exhaust too!

Pretty much the reason I have not gotten the windows tinted on my xB.

haha my windows are still tinted...after the first initial ticket, it is no longer a fix-it. It's just a fine..and it keeps increasing every time you get caught.

I'm 25 on the back and 35 on the front sides I hope I don't get stopped... not only does it look really nice of course but it keeps the car so much cooler even parked in direct sunlight.

good luck finding a cop that will take a bribe. that's exactly what you're asking.

I feel you on the ticket man, I had a Lancer before I got my tC and I had 20% tint. I'd get pulled over at least once a month because of the tints... It's not just CA that they're really ridiculous with that because i'm over here in NY, and i'm telling you from experience that the window tint is gonna get you pulled over. That's why I didn't tint my car.

i don't know why you guys complain about cops pulling you over for tinting your window. Its against the law and you guys know it. What did you expect??? if you don't like the law, move somewhere else.

well we're rebellions like that and love to modify our cars right? i mean the reason i'm here is to share my experiences and show what i can to modify further with my car ( not just a korny tint). i wasn't complaning but just sharing my story of why to tint or not to tint but yeah rules are rules, i still have a month(probably going to extend it) to take em off. I just might put a lighter one..

to nirvana6992: so your ticket fine was applied the same as stcx right? You said you get caught almost every month. So does that mean you paid almost or almost 1k for your tint?

No, a few of them got dismissed in court, and twice the cops just let me go on a warning...But one time I had to pay $250 in one month (in two different counties) I just decided then to get them removed. However though, in different counties there's different laws, for example... If you have 35% tint, in Rockland County NY where i'm from, it's legal however, if you go to NYC with ANY tint on your car, it's illegal (unless the cop was just bsing me on a ticket when I put legal tint on the car..) The thing that I didn't get was, I could understand if I had limo tint on the car... But I was pulled over in broad daylight most of the times, and I had 20% tint, you COULD see inside the car. Oh well, you live and you learn
