The prosecutor will talk to you before u talk to the judge. Then the prosecutor will usually help you reduce 2 points.
That happen to me twice. I drive faster in my dad's camry then in my tc.
I didn't know i was too fast without the rattles in the tc.

hopefully it wont be too big of a fine, or i can get off with driving school
That sounds odd to me.... I have more years of driving under my belt then I care to admit lol... At least for the states I've lived in the law states that for minor traffic offenses you have the option to either pay the fine before the scheduled court date or if you want to fight it...then you show up to court on that date indicated on the citation. And if a traffic offense is deemed by the officer to be a criminal offense, then you are required to show up in court...no other option. Most of the time at least out here... it is at the cop's discretion to lower the offense they write the citation for. Generally if a cop likes ya & you're not an @ss to them, what they write the penalty for is 99.9% of the time much less than what the judge would ever do. I've only had a couple minor speeding tickets in all my years of driving (knock on wood lol)....and have not seen what you're describing. You may want to re-read your citation to see what it says exactly. Maybe it's a CA thing.... I know they are a lot more strict on violations out there than the rest of the country. I've heard of horror stories just for a SL tuner out there with a performance intake & exhaust on his tC get monster sized fines for it. Where as out here... you'd have to seriously go out of your way to get busted for the same thing.

what did you get pulled over for? the cop should have an explanation to let you know what you did wrong.

OK bro...that answers the question. Read the top of the citation.... this is NOT a ticket. It's simply a notice to appear.... The officer obviously decided NOT to give you a ticket for it...but rather do something lesser that will not affect your license or insurance. Your penalty would probably be something like a short traffic school course or something...but that's what the judge will decide. So, yes you have to go...but no you didnt get a ticket. Hence showing what I said in my earlier post of the cop chose to give you a break and not charge you with the traffic offense he could have. He gave you a good deal that he didnt have to.
