Hi all! My name is Shannon and I'm a regular on SL, but I'm actually from the East Coast (Poconos, PA - about an hour and a half from NYC) but my friend and I are looking to maybe move to the SoCal area. Right now we're looking at places in the Oceanside, Murrieta, San Clemente area. Does anyone know about the towns in and around these areas? Are they nice safe places to live? How far (driving distance) is Murrieta from the coast/beach? I'd appreciate any info you could give. Thanks! :D

 

well Hi Shannon. I know that Murrieta/Temecula area is nice. The beach isn't that far, maybe like 40 or less miles. Oceanside is right next to the beach and camp pendleton, as well as San Clemente. What is ur budget though? most of San Diego area is chill.

 

We're looking at 2 bedroom apartments in the $1000 to $1200 range. Oceanside and San Clemente rates are kinda steep, but we did find a few in Murrieta that are within our budget, so that's probably our best bet.

 

ya, Murrieta is still a good place. Plus, if u are into wine tasting, the city right next door, Temecula, is known for its "wine country".

I was out at UPS getting a will-call package, come back and see my puppy holding her front right paw at the backdoor. Let her inside and notice her paw is red.. with blood.. apparently her nail got caught in our sliding screen door =\ She's ok now but I'm sad Also sad that I don't get paid for another 6days.. bills.. ugh. Top on gas prices and you get depression!

 

Gas went up a crazy amount so soon!
I think it went up 40 cents in like 2 days.

I just saw it in the $3.90's and then all of a sudden, it was $4.30's.
WHAT THE EFF?!

I have 2 bars left on my tank and the average around me is $4.20/gal. :? This is really starting to wear on me. Oh, and did you guys know that the senate at the Federal level is going to be passing a bill, or trying to, next week that will affect us even more? I listen to AM radio waaaay too much on my way to work so thats how I found out. Don't remember much about it but I'm going to look it up and share the info It's like.. Warren something bill, or at least the name of the guy trying to push it through.

i saw gas in MoVal at a Arco for 4.11. That was Sunday. Yesturday, I saw gas off University Ave in Riverside for 4.56/gal for 87oct.

crazy $***. Hooray for rainy weather, lol

The Mobil on University was $4.38 the other night.
Cheapest I've seen so far since I haven't passed by any Arcos in a long time.

 

costco in garden grove, yesterday before my trip to walnut i refilled at 4.09. only thing that sucks is that you need a membership card
