Not sure if it's just a style thing on the West coast or what but....Why would you put the tow hook in the front bumper unless you're getting towed onto a flat bed?

You don't have to understand the tow hook. There are a lot of things I don't understand about the east coast. I'll tell you one thing it is good for besides towing though: parrallel parking front bumper protection! My g/f lives in a college neighborhood. EVERYONE parties around there and nobody cares about their bumpers. Drunk kids back into and pull forward into cars EVERYDAY like it's nothing. Honestly.. I always try to pick a spot with a red curb behind me so I know that the only person who can hit me is in front of me, and if they do, they get to meet Captain Hook.

^ I initially put mine on the first day of this semester because of the same reason as Ron. People can't seem to park in their own stalls nowaday.. I go in angled a little to the right and just hope they 1) don't hit me or 2) hit the tow hook first.

Exactly. Ppl don't know how to flippin park. Everyone is in a rush or something and don't care if they hit the person next to them..........until that person comes and 1) keys there car or 2)there is going to be a nasty argument. That is why I park next to a pillar so there is some space on the side.

haha... no seriously... if you look at a set of tools for seperating ball mounts. here's an example. It has a threaded end, and then a sharp fork sticking out. I totally tried to screw one of these in, but it was a totally different diameter/thread size. WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME. Probably could have been pulled over for it though. LOL.
