Part of being mature is how you deal with those that aren't.

................I know. I just hope it doesn't get carried away to the point where forum users and other forum users can't see eye to eye. I guess we are all going to have to join in and promote peace.

Sooner or later, the 2nd gen will give in to unity.

Part of it is just where our society and culture are headed these days, where few have any respect for others or their property.

Some say ScionLife is changing. It isn't. The people on it are. The Soylent Green revelation: ScionLife is made out of people! Once you know the people behind the posts it changes your opinion on things. Behind every post there's a person. Some are antisocial.

Personally I try to stay out of the drama that flows by, but sometimes I have to get involved even when I don't want to, just because of my job here.

Some folks on ScionLife carry it way too far and attack other members in their posts. There is NO WAY that the mods can or do read every post made - there are nearly 100,000 a month. If someone is attacking another, hit the [!] button on that post and explain the problem. We might be able to help in some small way sometimes.

We all notice that some folks seem to be in the center of all the drama, all the time. Those are often the folks causing the problem in one way or another. I don't know how to correct that, or even if it can be corrected. Recognizing that some folks are 'instigators' can help in some ways, though, to protect yourself from them.

 

I was waiting for ur reply . Even though I'm not a mod, I'm going to check thread/whatever I can so that all this fighting stops or gets minimize.

I'm going to start making some prototypes of a sticker..........one love with Scion logo behind it. Whether its out of my pocket, sponsors, etc.

I think the biggest issue is the fact that when all of us first joined, the cars were new and the whole movement was exciting. We were the PURISTS if you will! We enjoyed Scion for what it ACTUALLY stood for. Not everything was some sort of competition. It seems more like all the new people over the last year or so have truly been the ones to ruin things. That's why overall you don't see NEARLY the amount of seasoned members posting as much. Eh whatever, I'm only on anymore checking to see what events are going on or checking out new products. Could care less what people are doing with our cars anymore.

 

I'll admit I was in on the drama, I don't wanna claim it was me if I'm not who he's talking about...but I know we hung out, and I did have drama with ********* but we squashed it and we're cool now... Like Teabag said GROW UP everyone and stop the name calling.

seriously it meant a lot to someone that was new to the scene (me) to see that drama can be taken care of in the scion community, i almost quit the club and quit SL. good thing that didn't happen. you're all cool people, and it's nice to hear opinions even if it is constructive criticism.
