I was a quiet guy back then, a noob, so to speak. I learned many things about car clubs, some good and some bad. The biggest thing I learned was how NOT to run a club. The guys in charge barely spoke to any of the new guys. They came and went as they chose and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Scion Evo came about and I decided that I could not be in that club.

A few of my remaining friends started Scion Kreationz back in 2004. I soon joined them a couple of months later. Back then I was not in charge so I would sit back and watch what would unfold. Lots of drama ensued between other clubs and ours. I didnt always agree with how things were handled, but again I learned how to NOT run a club. I also saw how bad other clubs were and how they treated their members.

Our club seperated into many other clubs in 2005 (Scion Image, Scion Ryders, Scion Extreme) all coming from us. I guess those guys figured that they could do it better. I took over the club in 2006 with a grand total of 5 members.

This is how I run the club:
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Respect others cars and property
At this club the first is last and the last is first
Always introduce yourself to anyone that is new
Dont be shy and participate
Be quick to listen and slow to speak
Think before you act

As some of you know, our club is now entering its 6th year. Were doing great, growing and setting the example for others. I am happy to say that our club is more like a family. I know all the members, their families and they know me. Some clubs claim Family but dont want kids around. Some clubs set up car meets and then dont introduce themselves to the visitors. Some clubs have car shows and then give trophies to their friends. If you want change, first look in the mirror and ask yourselves this, "What have I done?" "What can I do?"

Stop posting nonsense and start working on a plan. SK has a great plan for 2010, look for it. For those of you who think the world revolves around you, maybe its time for you to move on.

I really do hope that I or SA has not been part of any of the problems in 2009. I really don't like seeing the drama that has been going on. To me, 2009 was not very fun. I hope that things do get turned around in 2010. I sure as hell am not going to drive all of those miles just to not have fun. I really do miss my friends in the scion scene. It seems like ages since I have seen a lot of you. I hope to see everyone in great spirits soon. As long as my health doesn't go away, that is.

Very well said guys! Been through A lot of bad stuff this year too. With none of it my fault, and still the others sides never manned up to take responsibility. Truly disappointed in some peoples actions this year!

But lets move on please and make 2010 a great year PLEASE!

IMO there are leaders and followers, lovers and haters, people at the top of the game and people barely able to get into the game.

I have been in some form of automotive car culture from the day I was born in a mid-west “po-dunk” town working with my father and grandfather in a full service Texaco station dreaming of ways to make all those cars I worked on unique and one of a kind.

Scion I thought for the first time was the breakthrough in a new car culture where your car was your canvas and with it you could express yourself no matter what social status you belong to.

However in this world of social networking, rumor campaigns, misleading posts statements taken out of context and what is written no matter how untrue fact it becomes. Getting this club or that club this culture and that culture, East, West, North, South, left or right to come together under “one love” has to start with each individual not just the club or it’s leaders.

Every club has an image to uphold some want to be known as the party club, some want to be known as the outcasts, some the best of the best, some the melting pots. However it is the actions of the members of the clubs that projects its image good or bad. All clubs rise and fall cycle in and out some will make it through some will fail. The past is past the future is promise for the natural process of elimination in the end governs it all.

Good luck to everyone in 2010 and I look forward to June 2013 to celebrate the 10th birthday of Scion.

I see a xA, xB, or tC cruising and i always have to look at the mods and give him/her a whats up. i was just hoping that we can bring back what we had this show season coming up and make it like the old days. no drama or problems. i hate seeing people at car shows crying or getting ____ed off cause they got 2nd instead of 1st or sit in there car and dont talk to anyone until trophie time. its funny but since i was stationed in california all of my really good friends had something to do with the Scion scene. the club that i met everyone in is long and gone but we still to this day are as close as family. i hope everyones doing good though. hope your still cruising your Scions amd even if your out of the scene or have another ride now everything is good. take care everyone and i hope to see all of you at the next show. peace. be safe. no tickers
I have been asked by some people within the community to ask the source why you started this thread and what's your take in all the responses from pretty much everyone in the So Cal scene. Seems like everyone got involved, but then you split on your own thread with all of us bickering in the end. Input please.

Mr. Dave Moulton, I am currently planning to set something up with all the Scion clubs to help cease fire in the whole community. I have pretty much everyones email too. With the help of Nilo and Andy (dbchef), this should come out to a positive outcome. Lastly, I am not a perfect person nor am I a bad person (in my opinion), but when there is something I care about that is in a bind, I do what I can to help out as a friend. A lot of people can back me up on that.

no this is not a popularity contest to me. everyone is always talking "lets just get along", this and that, but no one is trying. If people want me to back off this then that is fine with me and I can go about my day. I can do other things.

It would be awesome to have everyone come together but someone would have to take the initiative to make this happen. I've been around for a while and seen of lots of downs and then a lots of ups. I don't want to see the scene fall apart. it would be awesome to go to a show as one club and beat all the clubs that are out there.

I don't think theres a popularity contests in the scene. There's just people that have been in the scene longer then others. Everyone is the same from having a stock car to a hooked up ride it doesn't really matter its just getting to know everyone and everyone knowing you and that's the point is everyone knowing each other. I've had problems with people and people had problems with me but its the past and I look beyond that now and drop the crap talking.

Why can't we all just get along?

The problem with the scene is the people in the scene. The car scene will never go away really. Look at it from all aspects. The car clubs are usually what divides the groups up. Once that happens is when the BS starts to fly. I left this club because of this and that. This person screwed me over and now I expect everyone else to hate them also. This is the kinda stuff that kills the "Scene".
The people can either make or break the scene that is for sure. There is always going to be issues somewhere. It is how the people make the issue go away that is going to persue the way the scene continues. There is to much "F them" going on in the group to make this work still. To much behind the back talking. Everyone seems to be afraid to say what the actual issue is to that person. Instead it is pertrayed to their club members and then the issues start. Then the clubs start talking crap and then you have divided groups. One group wont go to this show cause this club is there or that person is there. Remember at one time, we all were one group having fun.
The "opinions" is what kills alot of the people around here. I know I quit coming to this site for a long time. Not because of the site. It was the people that seem to be on here just to bash other people. The "their car sucks, cause I dont like it" Or the other great one "that person dont know crap what they are talking about. I have been in this for years". Yes we all might have been doing this type of thing for many years. But if you sit back and look at most of the posts, they all end up negative some how. Wether a person is just posting a new mod they did or the new club they joined. Someone will bash it. With this attitude the "group" will never go forward. The BS has to stop and if there is a issue with a certain person or club. Be a man and confront it. Not with fighting or harming other peoples property. But with a positive attitude of we can fix this.

It is going to take everyone to fix this issue. Not just the club leaders. The club leaders can point their club in the right direction, but without everyone doing it. The issue will never resolve.
