Please stop e-mailing me. I still don't own a Scion.

This is the kinda stuff that kills the "Scene".
The people can either make or break the scene that is for sure. There is always going to be issues somewhere. It is how the people make the issue go away that is going to persue the way the scene continues. There is to much "F them" going on in the group to make this work still. To much behind the back talking. Everyone seems to be afraid to say what the actual issue is to that person. Instead it is pertrayed to their club members and then the issues start. Then the clubs start talking crap and then you have divided groups. One group wont go to this show cause this club is there or that person is there. Remember at one time, we all were one group having fun.
The "opinions" is what kills a lot of the people around here. I know I quit coming to this site for a long time. Not because of the site. It was the people that seem to be on here just to bash other people. The "their car sucks, cause I dont like it" Or the other great one "that person dont know crap what they are talking about. I have been in this for years". Yes we all might have been doing this type of thing for many years. But if you sit back and look at most of the posts, they all end up negative some how. Wether a person is just posting a new mod they did or the new club they joined. Someone will bash it. With this attitude the "group" will never go forward. The BS has to stop and if there is a issue with a certain person or club. Be a man and confront it. Not with fighting or harming other peoples property. But with a positive attitude of we can fix this.

It is going to take everyone to fix this issue. Not just the club leaders. The club leaders can point their club in the right direction, but without everyone doing it. The issue will never resolve.
You just saved other people from typing out the exact same thing they've seen. Good job.

Not that I'm anyone of importance around here but would it be a proper time to lock this thread because anything further will just be a rehash of what's been said already? IMHO everything that needed to be said has been said and the time for action has come about for this community. Good Luck to all.

I agree with J (nolimitz) but at the same time, some on the other side are too stubborn to move on as well. Some people can only do so much that it often becomes a loosing battle. No matter what you do, you can't seem to fix the situation. Others see what you are doing and the "slap back in the dirt" you get in return so things never get better. That's why I agree saying that it is EVERYONE in the community that needs to focus on the future and let the past go. There is no way anyone can grow if there is a bunch of "skeletons" lingering around. Here is to CA and AZ making this a great 2010 and moving on like adults. After all, these are cars and car clubs. After all is said and done, the friends and family that we all have made in this journey, are still going to be there when the Scion is gone. CHEERS!!!!

I'm sorry to be realistic, but the Scion Scene will never change, like others have said it will take everybody to change and that is not going to happen, there are certain individuals out there that have ruined it for the rest of us and will continue to do so, this is why I'm no longer in a club or in the scene, got tired of it and decided to move on, I'm much happier now, but I will admit I miss some of my old Scion friends I made over the last 5 years, anyways...good luck to those that are still doing it and I hope I'm wrong about the scene never changing for the best cause I really hope it does.

I am older than most in the scene (35) and realized a lot of the peeps in the scene are really still just children or older children. People who say my car/club is better than your yours or quality over quantity are full of themselves dont worry about the trash talkers they are just insecure or immature. Sure I have had some of my club members do this sort of thing but I didnt like it.

Also clubs need to make sure and talk with their members as a group about how they act, it is simple respect, and even if your not being treated the same take the higher road.

Our club realizes this and we are starting to change, and it seems other clubs are as well so 2010 looks good.

Seriously thou, the problem that I see with it is, every time there's a massive meet or gathering, there's always groups that stay together or "clicks" if you want to say that hang out with the same people and in the same spot, I noticed that allot at every car show I ever went to, there needs to be more commingling so that people in the Scion community can really get know of another, so that's the only problem I see with a huge Scion meet and greet.

socal scion scene is still around. basically "underground". it consists of get togethers with other clubs/non-club members, tech days etc. It does remind me of the good ole days when the b.s. politics wasnt rampant. As far as i know, clubxb is the biggest car club in the nation. just saying.

I think we should all come together as one club when circuit shows come around and take TEAM REP, and other "TEAM" awards and send the trophy or plaques or whatever to Scion Corp.
