Even at stock height, you don't want to take a driveway super fast to the point where your ride height becomes a street driving performance advantage. If you take speedbumps superfast you are going to screw your shocks in the long run regardless of what you have, and who hits dips fast?!? What do you need to enter a driveway fast for? Am I wrong here? No offense, but seriously... Slamming your car is awesome and NOT any disadvantage performance wise. Yes, with a lowered car you have to pay attention to potholes and the such more than stock height, but lowering your car is giving you a cornering advantage, and depending on different things, some aerodynamic advantage to an extent.

ps,
I'm glad we can be mature enough to disagree, and not argue, posting our disagreements and helpful tips in the same post. I wish everyone on here was that mature.

edit: It wasn't engifineer who figured it out, i forget who.
I used those for examples, cause I can't think of the "real" performance loses, other than scraping the body on the outside of a (hard) if your springs aren't stiff enough. and driveways and dips in the road are the most frequent problems that I see in slammed cars, guys going in to a driveway at about a 60-45 degree angle
also, each model has it's "lowering threshold." Once the lower control arms are passed parralel to the ground, you start loosing performance. So while one car might need 3" to get them "=" another car, might only need 1.5"
