you could probably do it by yourself. Ive seen videos people posted on youtube installing it.. hahah but ya all you need is probably a tune from a shop if you do it yourself but if you want a shop to do it, you better have a lot of money on hand

 

yea im thinkin of buyin the stage 0 but i dont have any experience with engines or anythin plus no tools...no knowledge so yea..roughly how much do u think for installation?

 

it shouldnt be too hard, prolly the hardest part of installing stage 0 is tapping the oil pan for the oil lines to and from the turbo. u might need to take ur oil pan to some one to get it tapped in case u dont want to do it your self. u also might need to take the front bumper off to get alittle more space but if u dont have the fmic its prolly not needed. im sure if u search the install write ups they should tell you what to torque the bolts down to.

we should be able to do it at rays house in a day or two. im sure u already know but look into boost, wideband, and egt or oil pressure gauges. ive seen on this forum that people run no type of engine management with stage 0, it seems to run fine but i personally wouldnt want to run too long with out one even a piggy back can benifit.

im trying to get boosted soon.

 

meh, im going to get 2.5 after all. 3" is overkill for only 8-9 psi. sure it looks cleaner but its feaking loud.

yea okay i found a bundle of gauges for 260 shipped...but i asked some guy here in SD who got his turbo installed and he went up to 1600 for the install with tuning ang gauges...so it would be nice if we ourselves cud do that..and get it tuned after that in some shop....so.....if any of u guys really know how to install please let me know so i cud order it ASAP....and oh yea the one im buyin is with the TApped oil pan already done so we dont have a problem with that...so please let me know...ASAp if we cud do it at RAys house..

here is one of the many write ups on this forum, u can look it over and judge if we can do it. i personally think its very basic and doable. ill look into the other ones to see if i can find anything else this DIY missed

 

I've got all the tools and know how. Never installed a turbo on a tc, but it seems straight forward! And if the oild pan is already tapped then it seems very do-able
