hey, so what happened yesterday? why was the meet canceled?

 

i guess a lot of people that signed up to go went to another meet...so people didn't want to go.

 

Where has everyone been? I just went through all the way back to the beginning of 08!

WHat happened to Josh (w3paint)? His last login was like in Aug of 08!

WHat about ray? I heard about his tC from him and about the new srt4, then I read that he wrecked it!!?? Anybody talk to him lately? I lost his #.

What about Gerry and Rolo? Haven't heard a thing from either of them.

And Danny!! What happened to all his random out bursts?

Tyler (xb) was the only one keeping this thread going for a LOOOOONG time it seems. You still around bud?

What about tyler (tc)? with the flint mica?


I saw Paymon and Oscar at the Scary Farm event this past year. Oh and robert (fujita) too!


What the heck. What is new with everyone? I havent seen or talked to anybody in the longest time. This thread is dead, and from what I understand is that nobody meets in temecula anymore?? Tis a shame.

As for me, I know I've been MIA, I moved to my own spot in Chino off of euclid and the 71. Other than that I've just been going to school and working. What else is everyone up to? We gotta round everybody up for an old team Descent meet.

im here!!! but no more tc., story about RAYtrix is true , and got a GTI now, same as me, freaking danny, havent heard from him in a long time, last i've heard he went turbo, josh is still around but not on scionlife hes usually on the ASquad website,gerry is idk, havent seen him since knotts, or maybe not even knotts, rolo, dont know about him, tyler is still here, tyler tC never heard of him since descent days, paymon and oscar im pretty sure they're still around...

yea everyone is al around now, and agree, to do a meet again, atleast once, but since we can;t get a hold of anyone, anymore, idk. and i knew it, i saw you at knotts, but wasnt sure if it was you, lol... good thing you're back.

 

i've tried on 3 separate occasions to get a temecula meet 'n greet going for old times' sake. wasn't much interest expressed from others, so i gave up.
we use to have bomb meets back in the day (in n out). those were good times.

 

^^ Yea, it was always good times to just hang out, relax, grab a burger and shoot the breeze. I know it's tough to get everyone together, we're all busy in our own seperate ways. Does anybody have ray or gerry's #? I saw Josh on AIM the other day, I'll try and catch him. See if we can get somethng real informal going just for old times sake.

Im gonna slowly try and get a hold of everyone and try and get something going. Seems like some people have moved and are doing a lot of different things.

I'm not gonna even try to set a date yet. But lets try and get a hold of everyone first. No matter if they drive a scion still or not. We'll try and decide on a center point that can be convenient for everybody.

I use to have Ray's number, but deleted it from my contacts list after leaving alphaSQUAD. I believe Josh lives in Carlsbad now.

If you don't mind me asking tyler, why'd you leave the club?

 

IMO, some ppl lost all heart and forgot what it truly means to be a club. Some ppl were caring more about how many of us showed up to shows (team rep trophy), and less about just having fun/hanging out with great friends/checking out great rides.
When we were DESCENT, none of us cared who did/did not show up to a show. We just went.
It just really ruined all fun and excitement I had for going to shows with this group.
I do want to point out that a FEW people were like this. Not everybody. There's still a big group of chill people I miss hanging out with. But oh well. I've moved on. I fly solo now, but I haven't been to a show since last September.

 

I see. That was one of the big concerns moving Descent over to a merger with AlphaSquad

 

Yeah. Looking back, I would have been perfectly content sticking with DESCENT.

 

I'm sure. But hindsight is always 20 20. As I recall, we did vote as a group and the benefits outweighed the negatives at the time.

I have an idea working to maybe bring descent back in a way. Not necessarily as a club, but more of a remembrance. Just have small stickers made that we can sport on our rides. Maybe have a forum here on SL to keep in touch. It wont even be restricted to scion only being that a few of our former team mates have different rides now.

Just an idea for now.
