Default Toasted!!

Alrighty peeps this is my official farewell and sign off from the Scion family.

Some of you know on Thanksgiving a 19 year old drunk driver, got on the road after too many beers, exited the 5 freeway, blew threw a red light, and into the intersection that me and my box were currently occupying, T boned me, and then took off at a high rate of speed. Thankfully, injuries were fairly minor, my lil box saved myself and my fiance from what could have been a messy night. My box on the other hand didnt fair to well. The insurance company wrote a $10,000.00 estimate, and deemed my little box a total. (Good news is the drunk driver at least after she tried to flee the scene, her car's radiator was ripped off in the collision, so it died with in 200 yards of us - cops got her, she had a felony DUI and felony Hit & Run in one night)
Back to me..insurance company paid me for my box, let me strip what I wanted off and then let it go to Scion Heaven. I took my money and set out to get a 09 xB....(few months ago my identity was compromised and a whole lotta crap was bought without my knowledge...and it screwed my credit and everything else up the pooch) So with my newly "wonderful" credit rating, the Toyota/scion dealers looked at me and went....we can give you 24% apr.....and we dont care that you made ALL your payments on time with the 05) So, long story...not so short.....I went back to my JEEP. And thus this is where I must bid you all farewell.

I have had many fun times with all of you, Scion United and the BBQ's and Knotts Scary Farm. You'll always be family.

keep it real peeps.

Peace!!!

Grandpa D & The Lil Lady!!

Kinda sucks that you are leaving the Scion family. What about purchasing another Gen1?

sorry man thats a bummer
same thing happened to my friend.
he was in his wrx at a red light when he got rear ended at 65. he and the passenger in the front seat both suffered concussions and don't remember the accident. our friend in the back seat was not so fortunate he suffered a major head and spinal injury and passed 2 days later.

we all should have a drive against drunk driving
and then you could get a new xb =p

Well we never really got to know each other too well but your box is kind of an icon in the scene. I feel like the scion did you good and you being safe is better than the car doing well and you not. So screw the car. Happy your ok and the driver was caught! Now she can get help with her obviouse drinking problem.

Keep in touch and hope to see you around!
