Where would I.....
get my rims painted or powder coated?...or are those two things the same?
I've had my wheels powder coated long ago on an old car and when i washed it with a degreaser it sorta ate away at the coat

so anyways..does anyone know a good place in the so. cal area to get them done?

powder coating requires a nice big oven to melt the powder that is electrically applied to the wheel thus creating a nice, smooth, very strong and durable paint job
painting is well... paint... it's a cheaper process, but much more susceptible to wear and tear.
