Here is the next car show that I will be attending. Anyone is welcome to make the drive down with me.

So far Hunter (phattc) from Des Moines as well as Kelsi (khans) from Des Moines will be making the trip down with me.

What: Best of the Midwest
When: Saturday and Sunday July 4th-5th
Where: Missouri State Fair Grounds (Sedalia, MO)
Why: Because there are Scion classes* and it would be a cool trip to get out of town for the 4th!
Registration: 8am-11am
Price: $20 entry fee

*Scion classes are Mild and Wild Scion - all classes, so we will not be separated out into xA's, tC's, etc.

Okay, got a LOT more info after talking to one of the guys putting on the show. Here we go:

Show Judging: They ARE bringing in judges (this is not participant judging). This is drive through judging. This means you get your call all clean and pretty and when they call your class, you drive through and they check out your car.

DB Contest: This is also drive through. You get 2 chances (he thought).

This show is huge. 350-500 vehicles. There will be 3 regional and 1 national magazine there. Some tv time, too.

It sounds like there is a Scion group coming in from Nebraska that is 20 strong. Not sure what their rides are like? This is their first year doing a Scion class.

Okay, the deal on the 2 day thing. Saturday is the main part of the show. There is the show, DB contest, fireworks, burn-out contest, cruise, etc. all on Saturday. Sunday is the 2nd part, but is basically for any stragglers who didn't get judged on Saturday.

Trophies: DB awards will be given on Saturday evening. All other awards will be given out on Sunday. He said since there are people from other states coming, they want to have us done and out of there by 2pm on Sunday.

Finally: CAMPING IS FREE FOR PARTICIPANTS! They are opening up 1,000 spots on the grounds for us to camp. So bring your tents and sleeping bags! I'm going to get a tent from my parents so we may have some extra room.
