Anyway, that's freakin' AWESOME!! It'll be good to have some friends from the region along. Both Chris from Elemental Designs (Mandos) and James from here in Ames are going too so we can represent ScinergyIA together!

Now, Scott, Anna, Rob, and Shayn are all going on the trip. Dude, I'm gonna need bail money too...

stephanie, alex, anna, me, scott elam, rob roedel, stephanie's dad, shayn, is who i remember off the top of my head.

after we get our info, lets post it up here so we can all try and cooridinate getting to and from the hotel and airport.

my wife arrives at the airport in miami at 9:30 pm, i assume i will be on the same flight, but don't know yet. someone was talking about getting a stretch limo from the airport to the hotel for 125$. i bet it would hold 6 people, so that's 20$ each . . . also, who would be down for lunch at emeril's (which is attached to the hotel we're staying at, and probably 35-50$ a plate) on friday afternoon say 1pm-1:30pm or so. i will make the reservations if people want to go.

also, alex and i are totally going back to Tapas e Tintos that evening before the event assuming we have time.

alex, will you post up their contact info and website if they have one? (he still has their business card.)

 

and i am going to have some shirts made specifically for us in the regional plains forum. i need to know a few things
a) who wants one
b) screenname spelling exactly how you want it.
c) size of shirt and male or female

if you are unsure of size, give me your measurements.

I am having the guy who did the s3 shirts throw these together for us. they won't cost much, and i won't make any money off of you all. i would offer it to the whole group of winners, but 1, we're cooler than everyone else, and 2, i am not buying 300 shirts and then not have people pay me back, lol.

i can ship them to you if you want. but obviously it would cost, or we might even meet somewhere, or i could ship a bunch to kc and ames or something and have people head out there to pick them up.

let me know, i am totally down with this, but basically a nice shirt with the pla tree and the miami winner on the front that says underneath the graphic, regional - plains
and on the back your screenname.

that is all, let the hilarity ensue.

 

Sounds good. I just faxed my paperwork over today. So I don't know my flight info yet. But if the times are close to when you guys arrive, that would be fine. Nothing like riding in style.

I talked to the guy who would make them, american apparal merch. one color print, probably looking at about 11-12$/shirt, and unique screennames are totally cool. i think the best way is to figure out where everyone that wants one is at, then send a group to local dealerships. have the scion champ there collect the dough for me and pay me back in miami? sound good to everyone?

let me know what sizes names, locations, etc. rob, i know where you are already, lol.

Looks like the Iowa crew got the best flights for once!

We leave DSM at 11:25 and get in to Miami at 6:10 flying through Chicago. For some reason we fly through St. Louis on the way back.

There's three of us on the same flight out so we may do the limo thing after all...

Oh yeah, just to make Scott jealous, my departure flight isn't until 2:30 pm. Can we say BRUNCH AT NEMO'S???

My flight arrives in Miami around 8 pm on Thursday. So by the time I get to the hotel and get checked in. Now its 9 to 9:15.
Is anyone from our area ( Alex, or anyone else, I know Horberg does not come in til later) gonna be interested in having a late dinner and then find somewhere to hang out and have some drinks??
You guys on the late flights in, can meet up with us later.

 

My dad's flight lands in Miami at 12:30pm.

 

Rob, I think there's a general plan to hang all together as much as possible on Thursday night.
