Has anyone gotten the "padded envelope" with these magic tickets? I was reading the miami thread about it and it seems we are doing lunch with scion on Friday - do we still want to do Emrils? Do you want to do it Sat for lunch?

Got mine, Friday. I would think Saturday would be better, lunch before we all start to head home.

 

I will be heading out Saturday morning around 10 am, so I will leave the hotel around 7:30 am to catch my flight . . . I am guessing that saturday morning is about the only time we could go, be cause i don't get into miami until 9:30 thursday night . . .

they don't open until 11:30 am for lunch on friday and since we're eating for free on Scion's dime, I don't want to skip that and eat at Emeril's for that . . . I just wish I had more time there. We're also having dinner on Friday night on Scion at the main event.

They open at 11:30 am for lunch on Saturday, you could all do that, although I think Alex was wanting to go to Nemo for brunch on saturday, although they don't have an official brunch until sunday. Saturday, Nemo opens at noon for lunch.

Honestly my plan is to get in at 9:30 pm, get to the hotel by 10:15 pm, check in and get ready to go out, be out of the hotel around 11pm and then head over to Tapas & Tintos http://www.tapasytintos.com/ for a quick bite before heading out to patrol the streets. I think a large group of Miami winners is going to be meeting at a Brewing Company called the abbey brewery, and I can't find a website for them, but here's a map. Map here

anyway, so head to the hotel, get ready, eat at tapas & tintos then onto the abbey to find out what everyone is doing . . . i am only 50 50 on going to the abbey b/c it looks like it might be an expensive cab ride, and really i am ok to just walk everywhere i can! might head over to the beach and hang out with the wife after dinner, nonetheless! Friday morning, get up early and see the sunrise on the beach, head over and do some shopping, i want anna to see the american apparal shop! then meet everyone at lunch at loews at noon, hang out by the pool/ocean between 3 and 6, and find a way to the convention center. Scion might have a shuttle van going back and forth or something, so who knows? from then on, it's party party party! i doubt i go to sleep that night. i might just pack all the stuff up between lunch and the event and then when i get home, just head straight to the airport and sleep on my layover in dallas! one way or the other, I am sure we'll all have a good time!

Oh yeah, I forgot! Friday night/Saturday evening around 4 or 5 am, I am going to finich off the night at Jerry's Famous Deli!

Yep, I'm going to do my usual.

Show up, have a few drinks. Next morning I'll clean the car for 4 hours before the show and then...wait...no car? Damn, looks like I'll actually be social! Bonus.

Well, I totally want some Tapas so I'll probably hang with Scott Thursday. Hope they're open at 11. Need that damn goat cheese and crack dish they had...ish was good!

Emeril will have to wait until I hit NOLA someday. Oh well.

I do have high hopes for our lunch and dinner feasts though. I know there's 300 of us so quantity will be high. Let's hope they can match the quality too.

I am sure quality will be no issue at all! I wouldn't doubt it if it was buffet style, but probably vegas buffet style, lol! I put a call in to tapas & tintos to find out their hours but havn't had a call back yet . . . my guess is they probably close aroudn midnight . . . the hours in miami seemed longer than other places, you know? I will let you all know when I find out the hours there and if I can reserve a table, how many want to go to Tapas & Tintos around 11pm assuming they are open?
